Help me remember the name of this book

It was a YA book, probably published in the 1980's. I don't really remember the plot, but the main character and her best friend kept powdered jello in lockets and told people it was poison.

Anyone know what this book was??? Anyone? Anyone?

I'm not sure but could it be written by Judy Blume ? I could be mixing it up with something else she wrote.

I'm fairly certain that it's not Judy Blume. I know all of her books so well, or at least I think I do.

This is killing me. Isn't it amazing how something gets in your head, and you can't rest until you figure it out?
