Sharon I lost my reading mojo for a while a few years back, mostly because I had run out of "authors" - I have always tended to read by authors that I like.I started on Goodreads in 2015 - set a goal of 36 books, read 44 (started in April that year when I was hospitalised for 2 months, and not allowed out of bed)
2016 - set a target of 48 - read 66
2017 - joined our lovely groups, and started to participate in challenges - target 48 - read 73
2018 - became a full on challenge addict - target 75 - read 99 and counting
2019 - I think I will target 100, but it has been a bit of a push some months this year to get all my challenges done. I think around 100 is going to be my limit while I am working.
Goodreads in general, and the mods and their challenges in particular have definitely helped me get my mojo back and I am loving it.
I am really glad that you are having such a great reading year too. Bring on 2019!
[and the nerd in me really loves that Goodreads has kept these stats for me!!)
Thanks Kerri and it's great that you're also having a great reading year. And yes joining these groups really does help increase your reading that's for sure and you get to make some great book friends along the way. 😊
Sharon, it looks like you have most definitely got your reading mojo back! Congratulations on a fantastic result this year with your personal challenge! And, I love your story Kerri! :) You certainly have made some good progress since starting on GR some 3 years ago! :)
