I think it should count. Especially if they have words along with the pictures. Even though it is just a book with just pictures and no words it still tells a story.

Most definitely. Picture books can have as good a moral and message as long, thick novels. I am 11, (but I have read more books then both my parents) so I'm still in school, and in reading we read a lot of picture stories, to help us think deeper. So yes, I do. They can be just as important.

I think they should. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Even I have some chapter art in my own book. And who is to judge how many words per picture would set it apart and make it different?

I love the Grinch who stole Christmas. The rhymes are a great poetry to remember, and the meaning is better than most movies you find in Hollywood.
