Sure, go ahead. We don't leave any out or change the meaning for any of the prompts. We only make sure they are all clearly worded and maybe shorten a few before posting the final challenge.

Sarah Twiggs (twiggssl) | 92 comments What a cool idea!

Growing up, there were rumors that my great-grandmother had local mafia/mob connections (no idea if this is true, you know how stories are passed down, lol).

My task is to read a book that is centered around the mafia/mob.

Haha! I was actually struggling with something unique, and then I remember that these stories are going to be told again when I am home over the holidays, and the lightbulb went off.

message 55: by Jill (new)

Jill Tool My grandmother's parents came to America from Ireland. My topic is:

Read a book that takes place where an ancestor's lived.

For example: I would read a book that the location took place in Ireland. BUT another ancestor immigrated to Virginia, so I could read a book that takes place in Virginia.

message 56: by Cheri (new)

Cheri (jovali2) I studied medieval history, so my task is:

Read a book that is about or takes place in the Middle Ages.

The final challenge will be posted on January 1st!

Adriana | 3888 comments I just changed careers and I'm studying to be a librarian in the new year. My task is:

Read a book where a character makes a big change or with a librarian as a main character.

message 59: by Kylie (new)

Kylie Cantwell | 720 comments My favourite hobby is to make shoes, since I have small feet and could never buy nice shoes. My task is to read a book about someone who makes shoes, a book where shoes have an important role (eg a Cinderella retelling) or a micro-history of a shoe designer/brand.

message 60: by Leona (new)

Leona (mnleona) | 139 comments My ancestor was Titian, the artist, so I will read a book about art.

Claire (claire6452) | 718 comments I was lucky enough to have traveled to Egypt and see firsthand the pyramids, tombs, and temples there.

My task is to read one of the following:
1. A book about a Pharoah;
2. A book set in Egypt;
3. A book about archeology.

I like this task! I think Egypt and pharaohs are fascinating. I would also like to recommend a book for anyone who would like to do this task. The Egyptian by a Finnish author Mika Waltari. It has about a gazillion pages, but it's an awesome book!

message 63: by Anna (new)

Anna | 39 comments I'm in a Disney mood. My task is to read a book where any character's name matches with any Disney character's name. Bonus points if you can match up Walt!
Example: Peter from The Chronicles of Narnia = Peter Pan
