Historical/Highlander romance Where the woman wants to be a nun but is forced to marry a Scottish Laird who doesn't want her as his bride. There might be some magical elements to it and its the first book in a series(or trilogy)

I read it around 2010 but it was from the local library and was really worn.
Spoilers-
In the book the woman and her maid come up with a plan to fake the consummation of the wedding by getting the Laird to agree to not have sex and using a vial of blood. They agree to stay married a year then have the marriage annulled so she can become a nun and he find a different bride but end up in love. She is very stubborn and seen as cold. There was some kind of magical quality and the other books in the series are about her sisters.

I believe she was english or from a enemy clan because he didn't want her as his wife
