Read-A-Thon (Week #1) - Book Chats

Here we can talk about the books we want to read during the read-a-thon. This is going to be open after the sign up closes to talk about book we have read.

How did you guys go about picking your books? Did you have specific authors, genres, or types in mind or are you just winging it?

For me it's a mix of things that have been on my shelf for a while and are books that are probably better marathoned (ie On the Road) and new books I've heard about and want to read while everyone's still talking about them.

I have a lot if buddy reads this month and in August so I am just trying to get as much in it. :) There are so many I want to read haha!

Most of mine are books I picked up from the library after I requested them, and inbetween I keep getting the urge to read something else that I've been meaning to get to. I think it's great though, because now I'm rereading my favorite manga. Even if I don't read all the books I checked out, I'm more motivated to read other things if they fit my mood better.

Finished Clockwork Angel, and I think I'm geared up to read Ready Player One. I intend on reading The Book Thief, because I've started that one before and just never finished, but given that its about WWII, it's probably going to end up being sad, and I think a video game dystopia thing would be a nice interlude instead.

I haven't been doing so good, but I am trying to push myself with Eve and Adam.
