He needs her for something and due to their past he knows she won't just work with him without a little incentive ;)
I can't reply because I know the answer, but I must say I was very surprised at Captain Eckert's tactics. I barely noticed him as a character and suddenly he takes such a prominent role. I guess Charley always needs someone to put some pressure on her so she can focus.
I had no clue what his plan was! I knew he must need some way of ensuring he could use her or to get her locked up and out of his way!
I know why, but I suspected it was him following her. I didnt see the rest of his story coming though
I thought that it was his stubborn need to find out how she helped her dad and uncle but setting her up? Had to be blackmail or just getting her out of the way cause he maybe didn't approve of her methods
Honestly, at that point, I thought he was just trying to figure out what her deal was. The thought that he had ulterior motives didn't even cross my mind.
I had no idea it was Eckert following Charley. I truly thought it was her father. DJ really got me there. When he called her into his office, I thought oh no!!!!
I didn't have a clue who was following Charley.I knew Uncle Ubie caught on to Cookie and Charley ruse when he hired the psychic to make Charley jealous. So when Charley spoke with Captain Elkhart afterward, I thought it was still part of Ubie's hoax and Van was in on it. I was in complete denial until Charley summoned Kory.
