The MMC Read-A-Thon! Sign-ups and Questions
I'd like to take part in both of them. :)

This challenge works like the flash giveaways - A number is drawn by raffle and if your post is that number you win. If you're a winner, and the book you read in that post was read with a buddy, you get two books. Whereas, if it wasnt, you'll get one.

Does this have to be done standard time? It is the 14th here now :)

If you do it on your local time, you just have to be strict and stop when it becomes July 20th your time, rather than the end date on goodreads which will be about 12 hours behind you ☺
I will be doing the same thing but I have about 5 hours left before I can start.

Who are you supporting? I'm not too concerned about the result, so I'm hoping for penalty shoot outs!!
I'm supporting Germany, but I live in Brazil, and I can't stand hearing about soccer every day, all day long. It's like nothing else happens
Yeah, we had the rugby World Cup here a few years ago, it can get very annoying! We won't talk about how your team did ha ha :)
Well, I wasn't supporting them, to be honest. In my opinion, they didn't even deserve to get that far in the competition, so it doesn't bother me, at all :)
People around my area still have massive England flags up! That ship sunk long ago!

By popular demand we have decided to host 2 Read-A-Thons during this years MMC ☺
The first will take place from July 14th - July 19th.
The second Read-A-Thon will take place from July 26th - July 31st.
Sign-ups for the Read-A-Thon go in this thread, and there will be separate threads for reviews during each Read-A-Thon.
How it works:
*The idea during the Read-A-Thon is to read as many books as you can.
*Books still need to be more than 100 pages to count.
*Reviews/updates are still required for each book you read.
*Books must be started and finished within the Read-A-Thon dates - July 14th - July 19th / July 26th - July 31st
*We will not be counting points during the Read-A-Thon’s, and points will not be added to the main MMC scores. Instead, we will use random.org to selecte a comment at random from the review thread. This comments review +/- buddy read will then be checked to make sure it qualifies. If it does, then this person will win.
(This is how we have been picking the winner of the flash giveaways)
(Your books can still be entered into the regular MMC challenges)
*If the winning comment has a book review/updates the owner of that comment will win 1 book from the prize list. If the winning comment has both a review and a buddy read, the owner of the comment will win 2 books.
*Depending on how many people join, there will be a minimum of 2 winners for each read-a-thon.
*You do not have to sign up for both read-a-thon's if you don't want to, you can choose to do only one or both if you wish.
*Winners will be drawn at the end of each Read-A-Thon.
