Yeah I don't know what's better. Some say short words are worse cuz you get tired of the letters, but I didn't mind "crime" so much. Maybe because it was 5 different letters. "Horror" only has 3 different letters, so yeah I think we'd get tired of R's! Lol I don't think Science Fiction is too bad. Long, but not too crazy. :)

So I just downloaded some freebies from KUChosen
Created Darkly
Also downloaded
Spectyr
That'll start us off...
Yeah it's not too bad. 2 complete spellings with 1 genre gets us to 315, which is right around where we have been, so that gives us an idea of what it would look like if we keep to usual.

I also know I've got 3-4 preorders that are set to download on Tues, but I can't remember what they are right now. Heather is right -- we should definitely shoot for at least 2 read throughs.
Ok I've added your books Shannon. I also added one that I need to read for another challenge as a C, but it will also fit an E or T if anyone else needs the C. And I added one that will download on Tuesday that I've been waiting for :) I put that one as one of the I's, but it will also fit an S.

Just looked ...I've got an "I" author downloading Tues Magic Breaks which should help since those are hard.
Dang I've got a ton downloading on the 5th too ... It's like Christmas!! Lol!
I need to read Tigana so I call a T! Unless someone really needs it and then I can see who the characters are. Also it's shelved 79 times as Science Fiction Fantasy, would that count or do they want something shelved only as Science Fiction? Shame I read Chill and Grail for last week.

Heather wrote: "I need to read Tigana so I call a T! Unless someone really needs it and then I can see who the characters are. Also it's shelved 79 times as Science Fiction Fantasy, would that count ..."Got it! I'm not sure about the genre...I'll check with mods.
Yeah, I like long words better. That way you have a lot more choices :)I'm going to read Of Neptune, that way I finish the trilogy. And I see that we are in need for Ns, so I'm going to read Northanger Abbey, it's been on my shelves for too long.
We are tied for 6th place!!! We moved up 5 spots from 11th place...yay!!!!! Great job everybody!! :) *doing a celebratory dance*

I'm reading La Vida Vampire by Nancy HaddockMC is Francesca Marinell but she's usually called Cesca
So that can be N, F, C

now going to try and finish some other books
I wound up starting another of the freebies I had downloaded Moon Tortured characters Skylar & EthanI should finish it shortly.
What was everyone's favorite book(s) as a kid? What book started your love of reading (if different than 1st question)?

When I was little I loved all the Nancy Drew books and tried to tea the whole series, but my school library didn't have them all. And I remember going to the public library and I checked out like 11 of them at one time and the librarian asked, "you're going to read all these books in 2 weeks?" (I think that was the deadline). And I looked at her in all my 8 year old seriousness and said "Yes!" And I did!! Lol I also loved all the Judy Blume books. So I guess those started my love of reading. :)

My answer will be weird, but I have several: "The Secret Garden" & "Jane Eyre"My grandmother used to tell me the story of Jane Eyre as a bedtime story -- that & "Flowers in the Attic" (without the incest) --- yes strange choices, but I loved it.
I still love those two!

Believe it or not but I still haven't read Flowers in the Attic! I hadn't even heard of it until they made the movie. I have it downloaded from the library and I need to read it soon!
I'm one of those weirdos who learned to read really really early (2 1/2). By 5, I could read at the 5th grd level & it just kept going from there. I can't remember a time when I didn't have my nose in a book. When I was younger, my parents had to make me go the bathroom instead of my room, because otherwise it wasn't a punishment -- I would stay in my room happily reading.

I understand all about the always having a nose in a book. My parents would always have to check on me after bedtime to make sure I wasn't reading under the covers with a flashlight. I read the usual young girl fare: Sweet Vally Twins, Baby Sitters Club, Nancy Drew. I was always checking out 30 books at a time and reading them all. My tastes didn't really personalize until I found a book that hadn't been shelved, The Dark is Rising Sequence. I think from then on, around 5th grade, I've been all about fantasy with a big love of Arthurian tales.

So I wound up reading Into the Darkness by the same author who wrote Chosen, since i liked that book so much.It was short & quick but totally different. Can't believe it was the same author!
Guess maybe move my "I" book to the 2nd read through since it doesn't come out until Tues?
I've always loved reading but the book that got me truly addicted to books was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I still love that series now.

That is such a great series. I came into it in the 3rd book. It started to make noise at the library I was working at. After that I was at every midnight release of the book.

I'm reading The Cellist of Sarajevo and will finish it before the night is out in my part of the world. I see we need an E for the 1st spell-out and I know there's a character's name starting with an E, but for the life of me I can't recall the name right now. Will update once I'm done reading.

My school didn't have any Nancy Drew books, but I LOVED the Hardy Boys. The teen years ones. I was disappointed when I read all the school library had. I was like, Now what am I supposed to read? LOL. I chowed down on every horror & mystery book they had in the YA section.

Just finished Born in Blood and I loved it. Alexandra Ivy-Author
Duncan O’Conner-MC Hero
Callie Brown-MC Heroine
The Sentinels-Seris
I am about 75% done with The Strangled Queen by Maurice Druon, but I'm hopping off my computer because it's "bed time" by which I mean the house is going to sleep and I'm reading until I'm done then sleeping XD, so here's the letters it would fit right now:S - The Strangled Queen
C - Charles LeMarche
E - Enguerrand de Marigny
T - Spinello Tolomei
I'll update if I come across an I, N, F, or O character in the last bit.
All done with The Strangled Queen. Found one character I had forgotten about for N- Nicole Le Lioquetier. Seems everyone this book was a C or a letter we didn't have.

SO I signed up to try Kindle Unlimited and downloaded some books. I am reading
Touch of Frost
Author-Jennifer Estep
Title-Touch of Frost
MC-Gwen Frost
To Walk the Night
Author-E.S. Moore
Darkness Dawns
Series-Immortal Guardians
MC-Sarah Bingham

was the book that got me reading. I loved it and I need to read it again"I've never read that book either. I love re-reading old favorites, too :)
I didn't start Harry Potter until right after the 4th book came out. My sister kept telling me to read it and for some reason, I had no interest. I really didn't know anything about it, other than it was about wizards. Then a friend of mine actually put the book in my hand and told me to read it, so I figured, why not? I think I was in love by the end of chapter 1. I immediately went and bought my own copy of SS as well as Chamber, Prisoner, and Goblet. Then I had to WAIT and WAIT for Order to be released lol. I actually used to have release party's at my house. I'd invite all my HP friends over, we'd be sorted into houses, play HP games, and eat HP food, and give away prizes. And of course I'd go to the bookstore midnight release parties. Good times!!
