I'm finished with Forbidden. This series is really great ! I'm going to read the rest of the series. There's only 2 volumes left, Forgiven and Foretold. That makes for two more O's.
Thanks Shannon! Angel, I'm glad you're enjoying the series!! I've got you down for the next two O's :)
We just need to finish 3 books to complete our first spell out! We are on our way to the 2nd! :)
Upon request of some Team Captains, the mods might be considering changing the goal to 5,000. Seems everyone is having too much fun and they don't want it to end next week! I want to make sure everyone would be ok with this before I report back to the mods.
Yeah, that's good with me, even though I too am only contributing I one book a week. It's still lots of fun.
Yeah! I'm all for it! I'm having so much fun! And it being in group it's super motivating to read !!!

I'm currently reading Blood Games -- author Chloe Neill. Characters -- Ethan Sullivan, Lucas, Catcher Bell
I'll update if there's more I've forgotten
@Sunshine & Lilac--your 1/week is still helpful! And I'm so glad you guys are having fun! :)@Angel-I agree, it's very motivating. I've also been able to get these short ones off my TBR that I probably wouldn't have read otherwise.
@Shannon--well nothing's official. I don't want you to get burned out! :)
I finished Six Moon Summer...going to see what I can read next...
Ha!! It's not me! My family is almost in revolt -- my hubs has taken to threatening my iPad. But school starts Thu so I'll be home alone most of the day with not much else to do.... ;)
I would love it if the challenge goes on longer. It's too much fun to have it end so soon.I finished reading Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution. Such a long book but I ended up loving every minute of it.
What I like about this kind of challenge is that it kinds of forces you to read these books you want to read and at the same time don't want to, if you know what I mean. Like Interview With the Vampire, the book I plan to read after foretold. If it weren't for the need of I's I wouldn't consider it right now. I've wanted to read it for a while and I've even bought a copy a few years back. But I don't know why I've never felt like reading it. It was the same for When Darkness Comes. I didn't want to read it, but when I did I loved it !
❥☪LIZZ NEILL☪❥ wrote: "I am not getting into any books of my book right now"Why don't you try to pick one book that you think you will enjoy...one you want to read. Maybe you'll have better luck and will be able to finish one?
@Shannon--No! He cannot threaten your iPad! That's taking things too far!! lol@Angel--I know exactly what you mean. I think that's why I got into reading challenges in general. They get me to read books that would normally sit on my TBR for awhile, and I've ended up finding a lot of books that I really enjoyed :)
One of the teams wasn't up for the extended time, so someone threw out the idea that instead of raising the goal, to just go until the end of August and whoever has the most points wins. That way we can continue beyond next week, but we'd still end by the originally estimated 6-8 week timeframe. I think it's a good idea. We'll see if the mods go for it :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! And now we have our 20 pt genre bonus :)

Agreed! I'm actually really enjoying reading all kinds of different things, different authors, etc that I might have overlooked before. There's been some I didn't enjoy so much, but I've also been pleasantly surprised too. I'm having loads of fun.
Like the idea of going for a timeframe!
I'm finished with the Demon Trapper series (foretold), it was really great ! I loved it !!! I'm going to start reading Interview With the Vampire tomorrow.
Finished Fall of Giants. Don't think I'll be able to finish another this week because the next few books on my tbr are all 500-1500 pages. Oh well, long books are fun anyway.
Lilac wrote: "Finished Fall of Giants. Don't think I'll be able to finish another this week because the next few books on my tbr are all 500-1500 pages. The short ones I've been reading for this challenge haven't been all that great.
I'm going to read Heart of the Matter since it's due back at the library in 2 days! It fits:H-title
T-character

I am loving this series, but I do love a good political intrigue. I didn't know much about the French line of Kings so it's all been fun and new, and I grew randomly attached to Philippe V, but now I'm reading the 5th book, The She-Wolf of France, and we're getting into more familiar territory. Let's start the 100 years war!
I know the reason I joined this group for the challenges is because all of my years playing video games has trained me to appreciate the art of setting small achievements that I can feel really super proud of reaching, and then setting another one. There aren't any sparkles or theme music with completing a book, but it's just as good.
I'm finished with interview with the vampire, it took me more time than I thought to read it. Now I'm trying to find shorter books to read.
Ok, I found two shorter books. The Initiation (MC= Adam and Cassie) by L.J. Smith and Daughters of Darkness of the series Nightworld also by L.J. Smith.
Great job everyone! I made the updates. 2 more days until we post, so lets see how many books we can read :)Today was my first day back at work, so I'm trying to get as much reading time this evening as I can!
