Hello! My name is Regina, and I'm fifteen going on sixteen. I absolutely love baking, but I made everybody fat so they don't want me to bake for them much anymore. Sadly. Usually I go for cheesecakes, as they're my personal favorite, but I've made pretty much everything. I want to try making a Mirror Cake next.

The type of baking shows I watch is The Great British Baking Show, Zumbo's Just Deserts, Cupcake Wars, and Cake Wars.

I'm addicted! I practically know everything that happens during the Great British Baking Show!

I was invited to join this group. But apparently my inviter, Alex, must think me very young, because everyone here is so young. But just like all of you, I love baking. I'm having an affair with food. Besides writing and gardening, and watching the Space Station at night, I love cooking shows, except for The Chew. The Great British Baking Show is at the very top!
Can't wait to see some amazing recipes! Thank-you!
Hi my name is Janessa, I'm a college student from Colorado. I am working on earning my BA with a major in Theatre and a minor in English-Writing. I wish to be a playwright in the future as well as have a few novels publish. I have never baked anything, but I would like to learn. We're about to start remodeling our house soon, and getting a whole new kitchen, so not much baking or cooking for quite some time. I remember my grandmother loved to baked, and someday I want to make a family cook not just of the recipes, but of family stories. I think food and stories are great ways to keep family traditions alive.

I just heard that The Great British Baking Show will not return to PBS for anymore seasons. Most of the cast have moved on to other projects. That was my favorite show, too:(

Right now I'm relearning the craft since I no longer have a kitchen. My InstantPot and my crockpot are, I'm amazed to discover, excellent substitutes.

I'm James Patrick Joyce. I'm not in my twenties. I was a professional cook for ten years (everything from gourmet vegetarian to pub grub, including a one-day stint at Peter Oliver's Bofinger, in Toronto).
I have baked lots of breads, though not as often as I used to, since my diabetes diagnoses (carbs are bad, m'kay?).

My name is Emily. Love to cook and plan menus. Do a lot of themed cooking challenges with family.

Hi... I'm Tiffany, from the UK - Staffordshire, so next door to Shropshire! Not in my twenties, no kids. I'm not so much for savoury cooking, but I do like to bake. My favourite is lemon meringue pie - which I almost never get to make as my husband doesn't like meringue (maybe I should rethink the marriage thing - not liking meringue has got to be grounds for divorce).
I've learned that life is easier if you make a double batch of cookie dough and freeze it in sausage shapes. Then you can have cookies whenever you want. :-)

I'm from Canada (please refrain from making jokes) and I'm excited to be in this group!
Hello everyone -
Art3mis: maybe you'll get some inspiration for more baking here!
Marine - I see you're reading Sophie's World: I read that years ago and really enjoyed it: it's one of those books that has stuck with me. Not much baking in it, though. :-)
Alois - do you make your own sweets?
Elayna - of course baking from scratch is the best!

You guys may want to gave me some advice on baking as well ?

Hi, I am Janet and I live in London, Ontario. I love to cook but I am a middling to an awful baker ...
I want to learn the skills but I suck as I am too loosey-goosey in its science...when you cook you can play with ingredients but not in baking. I have had disasters that are epic - with CAKE MIX.
sigh.
hello, anyway
