It was a stand alone book, definitely not part of a series. I think it was American but i'm not certain.
A guess - Classroom Chaos by Sue Bentley? There's a Scholastic version dated 2006.
Do you remember the cover image and style (e.g., realistic/cartoony/cute, simple/detailed, painted watercolors/bold graphics, sunny/dark/muted colors/black & white)?
Similar author mentioned by Peter - Jacqueline Wilson

I am fairly sure it wasn't Jacqueline Wilson but it was probably that age group.
Is this a picture book (about 32-48 pages) or a chapter book with mostly words?
Can we eliminate A Witch in Time by Terry Deary? "Sharon is chased by bullies who think that she is a bore, and Ellie is chased by villagers who think she's a witch. Then there is a sudden slip in time and they're both being chased together. This spooky story is set in 1502 and 2002." (Description from Worldcat.org)

I am pretty sure that is not the book!

I've been stuck on what this book is for months and would appreciate some help.
I first read it in the late nineties/early two thousands. It had a style reminiscent to Jacqueline Wilson but definitely wasn't written by her.
The plot was following a girl who was being bullied really cruelly at school. What particularly stuck was a rhyme they sang at her " - has big feet, - wets the bed, - has nothing inside her head."
The climax of the book is where the chief bully attempts to hurt her pet cat. Then there's thunder and lightening atop a hill, and I think she hurts him, badly, and it's implied that she's actually a witch. Then happily ever after etc.
Does this ring a bell for anyone?
