I've always thought Jason's witticism was annoying. The other guys bantered with Lorelai too but he just comes off as a smart ass to me.

Lukeee. <3333
Chris annoyed me.
Max was okayyy, second favorite.
But Luke, really. Think about it: the chuppah, even though he didn't like Max, fixing everything both at her home && at the dragonfly for free, he cared for Rory, "I just like to see you happy."
And I don't know why, but there's one scene where Chris acts like a girl. In the season five episode, Wedding Bell Blues, when he and Luke are arguing and he's like; "Rory is my daughter. /Mine./" and his hand is on his hip while the other is hanging down like some high-class girl-y snob. xDD it just makes me laugh.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Luke totally flaked when his daughter came into the picture. That sort of soured my opinion of him. Well, it soured my opinion of the writers, but that's different. :)

I totally agree. Luke sticked around Lorelai and Rory when they needed it. Who brought Rory's new mattress, when she moved to dormitory at Yale? Luke.
In one of episodes there was a scene between Luke and Christopher about that Chris wasn't there in important moments in Rory's life like when she was sick that Luke was helping Lorelai taking care of her.

By the way, I am Chinese, a Chinese in China. I'm so happy to be in the club.

i don't think that was the case. she was just offended that he didn't want to include her in his child's life.

i know right i loved when jess came and talked some sense into rory when she quit school and was just doing rubbish. that part was so hot!!!!

I really like Christopher too though. They picked the perfect actor for that part.

As for Luke, I liked him more before he started dating Lorelei, the anticipation of which actually excited me back in the earlier seasons...I don't mean to offend anybody but with Luke I realized he had very few interests and aspirations in life, except Lorelei, Rory, his diner and camping. Plus, he took so much time to make up his mind about Lorelei...What I say? They did emphasize he was the One for her but I just didn't see them as soulmates and thought that she could do more.
Finally, I did enjoy seeing Christopher. He was immature many times, yes, but he understood and shared so many things in common with Lorelei, was funny, and charming and there was always this possibility that he might do the right thing and redeem himself. Unfortunately, it didn't work out...

As for Max, Christopher, and Jason- ok, ick(grow up Christopher!) and never in a million years, u slimy toad! Obviously, a big fan of Luke. He did have some character flaws(don't we all)but he did love Lorelei.Oh, if only I could find my Luke!

Christopher, I think the dialog between him and Lorelai is pretty cute sometimes. They have a lot of history together, and they say the weirdest things to each other on the phone.... I haven't finished the series yet but I do like Christopher. The whole idea of it is kind of romantic, the childhood friends that were always meant to be together but either life or themselves got in the way until the very end. I mean, the day is still young so I might change my mind later, but as it is now, I don't mind if the two ended up together. They would be one of those super spontaneous couples that would drop everything and take off on a road trip to go see Metallica or something. I might be biased because I like Metallica... ahah...
Luke, well I love Luke. He's such a great guy, I'm surprised he could put up with all of Lorelai's crap sometimes. I mean, she was kind of playing mind games with him half the time, leading him on, leading him off, leading him on, then dating someone else, etc etc. I'm surprised any guy would stick around for that long! Not to mention he's always been supporting Lorelai with whatever she needed. He's the nice, reliable, manly "I can't express my feelings very well" guy but still a complete romantic. I mean, I do love Lorelai and all her witty banter but sometimes I feel Luke deserves better. I mean, of course I'm always rooting for Lorelai to be happy but... POOR GUY!!!

Fanny, you and I must be soul-mates! I've said a few times that Max gives me the heebie-jeebies, and I don't think I've heard from many others who saw him that way.

Christopher all the way!

You're so right.

I have to agree Luke was always there for both Lorelai and Rory, he would do things for them without even thinking about it.
I have to re-watch the Max episodes because I truthfully don't remember that relationship. And Christopher seemed like a snob to me, especially in the later years when he gets all that money.

I'd vote for Luke. He seemed to care the most about her and was willing to wait soooo long for her to finally come around, or better said for himself to finally come around.

And just let the record show that I absolutely hated Dean or as I continue to call him 'Dirk Squarejaw'. I have absolutely no explanation for this hostility.

HA! I hadn't really considered splitting it up like that. I think that may be why I wanted Lorelai to wind up with Max: because I like him so much. I think you're onto something.
