47. A book by an author with the same first or last name as you - Today will be different by Maria Semple 10-1
Just completed #33 (childhood classic) - Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson. This is a well-written book perfect for young readers! Even though the book is a bit dated, it still holds up in our modern society. I appreciate how the author shows the children's struggles without explicitly discussing them. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars46/40

Just completed #26 (animal in title) - The Cat's Table by Michael Ondaatje. I love this author's writing! He has a wonderful way of weaving past and future events into a main narrative, almost like asides in a conversation. And I love how he describes his characters. I listened to the audiobook, which he read. It was good, and he has an interesting reading voice, but I was confused as to his pronunciation of some of the words in the book. The book appears to be semi autobiographical. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars47/40

Just completed #42 (cyberpunk) - Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. What a great ride! This book embodies the best kind of sci-fi - good geeks against bad guys, totally immersive world, and lots of cultural references to make even a girl born in 1981 feel like she was out of touch. Writing is good, but the characters and the world are the selling point! Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars48/40

What a brilliant idea to update your challenge progress in only your Member Corner!
For someone who joins a lot of challenges (like yourself), that saves a lot of time. If I join more challenges next year, I might want to take a page out of your book. :D

I usually try to update the challenges monthly on my progress but that means all my books are just scattered over the last 1500 updates and impossible to find.

I'm only doing a few challenges but updating each one takes time, especially if I decide to replace books in any (which I seem to be doing frequently).
I did check out your Member Corner, by the way. :D
It's nice to see all your books in one place, for sure.
