Hi All! Mia here from Manila, Philippines. Quite a late entrant, but happy to be joining this group! Doing the Charlotte level so that reading remains a pleasure rather than a task:-). Looking forward to a fun year of reading.
Welcome Mia... no matter what time you join us... you are always welcome. We all love Jane Austen Fan Fiction [JAFF] so join in on the comments and the fun.
Mia, I believe you're our first Philippino group member. A hearty welcome to you! And you're exactly right about setting your goal: Reading should ALWAYS be a pleasure rather than a task!

Welcome! Enjoy!
Yes, definitely still a lot of reading year left and I love your plan to keep reading an enjoyment rather than a task.
Glad to have you, Mia. :)
Glad to have you, Mia. :)
Hi, I'm Anastasia, and this is my third (?) year of joining this challenge, but my first time actually posting and keeping track!I discovered Jane Austen through an assigned reading of P&P in high school, and I've been hooked ever since. I sometimes look back and realize how many assigned books I hated, and consider myself lucky that P&P didn't go the same way!
I own a significant amount of JAFF, but I have no idea what the number is! I also own almost all the film adaptations. :)
I would love to reach the Mr. Darcy level, but I know I need to read other things too, so it's not likely. I'm going to aim for the Catherine Morland level and see what happens!
Welcome Anastasia... we are so glad you decided to post and keep track of your reading this year. Many of us started that way and decided to get our feet wet and track the reading. I've branched away from JAFF a bit this year myself so my Austen numbers will be down from last year. But, that is OK... we have to spice it up a bit. Again welcome and hope you have a blast in our news feeds. Jump in anytime and comment. We'd be pleased to hear from you.

Buenos Dias, Saioa. Welcome to Jane Austen territory. We love finding new people who share our love of all things pertaining to Jane Austen. Hope you enjoy your time with us. Look around the place and enjoy yourself.
Saioa, it's so lovely to meet you! I'm always impressed with Austenesque readers for whom English is a second language. You will find plenty of suggestions for reading adventures here!

Hello all. James S here. Male, 66 years old. Love P&P, history, and anything interesting I can find in the new books rak at the library.
Very glad to have you join us, James! Hopefully, you will find lots of interesting books to read from this group. :)
Oh, excellent to see you took me up on my invitation, James! Lots of folks here in your age group. Kirk posts pretty regularly, and Don pops in from time to time, so you're not COMPLETELY surrounded by ladies. Welcome!
New male blood. Yay!! Poor Kirk and Don were sometimes lost. Glad you could join us, James. You are most welcome. We love JAFF and you will see lots of cool stuff here. Thanks, Debbie for the invite.

Well, Kirk, I was gonna say... lost in a sea of estrogen... hey, you know, that would make a great song title. James... now you see what poor Kirk and Don have to endure. Bless your heart. You do not know what you have walked into.
