Will do boss. I have a cover with a succubus carrying a chalice, so will go with that."

That's a much better choice. Sounds intriguing. What's the title?

I'll accept it.

Jannene, you can still change your option to this one.

Sorry, just got back to this. Second Georgina Kincaid book, Succubus on Top Succubus On Top (Georgina Kincaid, #2) by Richelle Mead

message 304: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments Yes, she's definitely a water-bearer!

message 305: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19221 comments She definitely fits the water bearing "maiden" component. Thanks Janice, sorry for being difficult.

message 306: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments Aw shucks! You weren't being difficult. You were just making things interesting.

message 307: by Kristie, Moderator (last edited Dec 08, 2017 08:04AM) (new)

Kristie | 19315 comments Another question about water bearing... What if you have something that fits, like a mason jar, but it is being used for another purpose on the cover? I am thinking of something like this: The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe by Mary Simses

message 308: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments It will work, Kristie.

message 309: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19315 comments Thanks, Janice. I'll add it to my list. I have a few others, but I've been wanting to read that one. :)

message 310: by Cody (new)

Cody | 348 comments can i ask how you get the link to be a picture of the cover of the book also please?

mine just land as text. thanks :)

message 311: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19315 comments When you're adding the book link, right below where you type in the book title it says "add: 🔘 link ⚪️ cover". You just need to select cover. Link is the default setting.

message 312: by Cody (new)

Cody | 348 comments thank you, easy when you know how :)

message 313: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19315 comments It’s super easy, but you have to see it first. It’s also easy to miss unless it’s pointed out. :)

message 314: by Laura (new)

Laura (lauradragonchild) For water-bearer does this go?

Qualify (The Atlantis Grail, #1) by Vera Nazarian

And can I go with any of these for the Earth-like planet on the cover?

Iceworld by Hal Clement The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin A Viking Moon (The Adventures of Sarah Tremayne # 1) by T.M. Rowe Fuel to the Fire (Fuel to the Fire, #1) by David Staniforth The Full Moon (Under the Moon #1) by David Neth

message 315: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments Yes to them all Laura,

message 316: by Mariab (new)

Mariab | 3059 comments Well, I did not want to ask, so as not to be bothersome, but I have to ask a question ...
The significant amount of fire, can also be interpreted in the sense that the image shows a great fire, but the image itself is small in relation to the cover? Example: Quicksilver (The Baroque Cycle, #1) by Neal Stephenson has a circle whith a mansion in flames, but the circle self is not big...

message 317: by Laura (new)

Laura (lauradragonchild) Thank you Janice!

When I look at the cover, I don't think "fire". So, I'd say it's not significant enough. Sorry.

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments Does anyone know if The Longest Ride Is set in Wyoming or Montana? I've seen the movie, but can't remember.

message 320: by Saar The Book owl (last edited Dec 12, 2017 02:32AM) (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments For time travel, would this be okay: Molly Moon's Hypnotic Time Travel Adventure?

And for November: 11/22/63? (it's not the specific word)

message 321: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments I can't help you re: Longest Ride. I've searched various sites and can't find anything.

Both books - Molly Moon & 11/22/63 will fit the time travel task.

message 322: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19315 comments Janice - I think Saar was asking if 11/22/63 will fit for the November in the title / takes place in November task. Seems like it would fit to me, but I haven't read it and I'll leave that up to you.

message 323: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments 11/22/63 is only partly set in November as it spans a bigger time frame but it does have November in the title although it's the month number as opposed to the word. It would work for time travel too I reckon.

message 324: by Saar The Book owl (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments @Janice: no problem, but thank you for helping :)
@Kristie: I think the part that I posted about 'The longest ride' was missing in Janice's post. That explains the confusion.
@Sarah: Aha, I never thought about it that way. I'll use it then for time traveling.

message 325: by Saar The Book owl (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments I'm still struggling to find books for March and November. The only think I find are books with authors called 'March' or 1 day in November.

For the 'ram' is Christine okay?

These are the last books that I need and I'm annoyed of it.

message 326: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I think Christine is a car, not a truck.

Have you considered The Violets of March for the March task?

message 327: by Saar The Book owl (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments Yes, I was thinking on using that one when I find nothing else.

message 328: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60069 comments Sorry, I got things a bit confused there. When I saw "time-travel", and then 11/22/63, I immediately associated it with time-travel because that's the whole premise of the book. It won't work for November because "November" must be an exact match. Even though the date format is representative, it is not an exact match.

Peggy is correct about Christine being a car and not a truck.

Sorry, I keep sending you back to the drawing board. I don't have anything in the November slot either.

message 329: by Laura (new)

Laura (lauradragonchild) @Saar - I was allowed to use The Longest Ride for Ram as my copy has the back of a truck on the cover. I have also just gone through its pages and Ira is from North Carolina and has the accident while driving from home to the Black Mountain. I don't know if it helps.

message 330: by Saar The Book owl (last edited Dec 13, 2017 01:13AM) (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments @Janice: no problem. I've got it solved :)
@Laura: thank you for looking it up.

Is it allowed to change the books during the challenge if you find something better or isn't it?

message 331: by Margo (new)

Margo | 11668 comments Janice would this one work for truck on cover? Truckers (Bromeliad Trilogy, #1) by Terry Pratchett

message 332: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Saar wrote: "Is it allowed to change the books during the challenge if you find something better or isn't it?"
Of course it is Saar. In my thread, I have listed multiple books for each tasks as I don't know what I'll feel like reading by then.

message 333: by Saar The Book owl (new)

Saar The Book owl | 2653 comments Okay, thank you. I think I've asked all my questions :p

message 334: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I think it is allowed, but only for books you haven't reported yet for a badge. So as soon as you report your first 12 books, those 12 are fixed and you can't change them. But you're free to change as much as you like for the books/tasks that you haven't reported yet.

message 335: by Laura (new)

Laura (lauradragonchild) Do we have to fix and report the first 12 books we choose for the first badge before we start reading or can we choose as we go and report them as we read?

message 336: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Laura wrote: "Do we have to fix and report the first 12 books we choose for the first badge before we start reading or can we choose as we go and report them as we read?"

You only report once you've read the books for the badge you are reporting for.

Have you read Little Women before? As I have Geraldine Brooks' book loosely based on it for March. It's called, helpfully, March (the family's last name).

message 338: by Laura (new)

I'll accept it, only because we're told it's a truck from the title. Without the title, you wouldn't be able to tell what type of vehicle it was.

I loved 'Little women'! I'll consider reading this one.

@Mariab: I'm not a big fan of political thrillers, but it's about Rome and Caesar, so maybe it will be good.
