I'm referring to Lost on Planet China: The Strange and True Story of One Man's Attempt to Understand the World's Most Mystifying Nation, or How He Became Comfortable Eating Live Squid aka Lost on Planet China: Or How I Learned to Love Live Squid
If not I hope there's a challenge for books with long titles coming up soon ;-)

Sorry, Peggy. Sub-titles don't count.

Pretty sure it has to be in the title anyway so it wouldn't work.

Oh you're right! Brain overload - sorry ;-)

I can work out page numbers easily, but how would you like us to handle anthologies like this for covers, Janice?
P.S. Sorry if you have already answered this

But something weird is happening. When I open my ebook, that cups cover is the only one I have, so the only cover that is actually *in* the ebook. But when I turn on my ereader, and I see the main page where it shows which books I'm reading with thumbnail covers, it shows the other cover! Which one should I use?

Are you planning on reading only the one books in the anthology for the challenge, or the entire thing?
We've always said that you have to go with the edition you read, so you'd need to use that cover in its entirety, even if you read just the one book from it.
Will there be enough pages for Wizard? I know in the paperback edition, there's 183 pages. If it's not, you may need to read the entire anthology.

Which is the cover on the homepage of your ebook reader? I'd go with that one.

When it's an anthology of short stories, you'd need to read the whole book. But, when it's an anthology comprising of full novels you may read just the one, providing it meets the page length. You may need to calculate that manually.

Gauging from the book blurb, it sounds like she would be. I'm going to give it a conditional "yes". Have any of your friends read it, and can they verifiy that Scarlett is under 20 and unmarried for the entire book?

It's

Okay, I'm going to change this back to my original plan. I'm actually glad about it, at least now I'm back to all reading for Badge 1 instead of mixing it up.

I was only going to read one. Message received for the cover.
And I'll have to check the pages for Wizard, but I have a few of these (True Blood Omnibus, World of Psmith Omnibus, Space Trilogy: Out of the Silent Planet / Perelandra / That Hideous Strength, etc) so thought it would be worth asking.
Sounds like it's not just me, so thanks for the ruling!

Yes, that will work, Sarah.

That's a great approach! Have you already got a black cover book? You could definitely use it for that.
I have it to read also.

Yay! :-)

Also, books in a series are fine, unless the task specifies that it has to be a standalone.

It's just the two challenges (monthly and annual) that prohibit "double dipping". You may certainly read Cinder for the February group read and count it towards your zodiac challenge. I don't know what you mean when you say "read it in a different month".
And yes, you may read books that are in a series. In fact, one of the members is able to slot several books in a series into the zodiac challenge and hopes to complete the series that way.

Yes, it works. That water-bearer should be fired though. It's tipping out its contents.

It's all good, Sarah. I accepted one for

This one looks interesting - also fits one of the zodiac challenge tasks. I might hop on it if it's good.

No to Gilead. TinEye reads the cover as Iceberg Green (90%). It's looks blue to me.
