I think it was quite predictable why Alice was there: to save Laylee from this strange illness. But I didn't predict her power. I thought she would have the power of resurrection. And I guess she does in a sense but it is approached so creatively and differently from anything I have ever read about. It made the world so much more magical for me. She resurrects her by giving her back colour! AMAZING!
