1. Many / most of his works are German, but flagged as English so the filing is all wrong (under D~ not the first Proper word).
2. Not 100% certain they're all the same Pete Hackett, although he may just be very prolific!
3. May need some combines once the filing is sorted.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments to me that looks like very profilic - scrolling through complete page 1 of his "books" the majority of the books seems to be some "Groschenroman" Western (really cheap (just a few cents) mass market paperbacks all quite thin) with reoccuring characters so, his books. There were only one or two I wouldn't instantly add to him...
But yes there seems to be some combining to do - and tons of title cleaning urks...

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments and according to that "description" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... Pete is only a pen name for Peter Haberl and he also has written under the pen name William Scott for Bastei Verlag (they published a lot of Groschenromane earlier, don't even know if still or if they gave that up meanwhile) e.g. the "Texas Marshall" series.

So "very profilic" may just be understatement ;)

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Gosh!

Hmm, does that mean they all need Haberl adding as secondary or are we OK with just a crossref?

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments The few ones I looked yesterday had only Hackett on cover and these Groschenroman people often have various pen names I think so just Hackett should be ok? (hadn't look at the Haberl profile yet)
some of the descriptions had author blurb and said he has sold more than 2 millions books
And some had an illustrator mentioned - he did only the cover and can be removed.

I think you might compore him to A.F. Morland (also such a Groschenroman guy just another genre and another very deep rabbit hole)

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments Looked now at the Haberl books - they seem all to be crime whereas the Hackett ones are just Western so I wouldn't add them, just crossref in profile

That's the one I have been working on earlier.

For Pete Hackett, I've already created the first series page: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2203...
Working on these now. done

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Awesome work :)

Arenda | 26450 comments Pete Hackett is done, for now.

I've created missing series/serials pages, set language to German, corrected sorting titles, removed cover illustrator, removed URL's from description and combined editions that needed combining.
