I just saw the movie. They kept the spirit of the book but changed just about everything else. I liked it pretty much.
Finally got a chance to read this book! I was a child in the 80s, and I really enjoyed it. I was/ am a big nerd, so a lot of the book resonated with me, but the nostalgia isn't really what I liked about the story. In many instances, I felt the references got excessive and the amount of explanation and exposition really bogged down the story's pace. I didn't get a real sense of urgency until near the end.I'm ready to see the movie now!
