Lisa Emme (Lisa_Emme) | 212 comments I'm putting the first three books of my urban fantasy series together as a boxed set and I'm wondering if anyone knows what I put for the volume number in the series section when submitting it to KDP? I want to make sure that this collection shows up as an option with the other books in the series, but I don't know what to put as the volume number. It wouldn't accept "1-3". I doubt if I can leave it blank (I didn't actually try). Should I put "1" since the set starts with the first volume? Will that screw up things for the individually sold first book in the series?

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Box sets and prequels aren't part of a series, according to Amazon, so they won't show up on the series page. Your best bet is to put the series name as your title and "The Complete Series/Trilogy" as the subtitle.
