Take Me Tonight
The Color of Joy
I'm beginning to question how quickly others see posts we make. When I made my choices for Laurla, I refreshed the thread right before I posted, to be sure someone else hadn't already done so. And there was no message there. But now I see that Stacie's message actually shows as posting at 4:10 that morning, even though I wasn't making my post until about 9:00. What gives?

Susan, maybe it's because Stacie's message was the first one on page 6? So if you refreshed page 5, you wouldn't see her message because it was really on the next page. Does it make sense?

I don't seem to have that issue if I open the thread from the group page links but when I open it from the notifications list, I’ve noticed the system sometimes omits those messages posted after the one I’m opening... Even if I refresh the page.

also, the GR uses for time stamps is PST and your post says around 6:00am, which would be 9 eastern time. So you probably just missed Stacie's post... but I don't mind! I liked all the choices. If you two hadn't both picked the same book, I would have had a hard time choosing, though!!!

Hard choice -- they all sound good to me right now.
I may see whether I can find any of them on my Wheel of Bookshelves shelves before I decide.

Thanks, Jayme! I may read all 3, if I can find my copy of The Last Unicorn and get Moon Called from the library (the author and setting are semi-local, I think, which would be fun). And if I can remember to sit still long enough, I want to read Attachments after Jan. 1 for another challenge.... :-)

Here you are, Joyce
Carpe Corpus (The Morganville Vampires #6) -oldest by date added
Last Wool and Testament (A Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery #1) - newest by date added
Year One (Chronicles of The One #1) -most recently published
Joyce, I noticed that you have about 160+ books on your bookopoly shelf. The recommended max number of books is around 90; just so it doesn't take pickers too much time to look through & choose books for you.

Dee, I am going with Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg as I have it on my desk waiting to be read. It is due back at the library early January, so it is a perfect pick.
