SOLVED. Looking for book about two kids on an adventure to the north to save a guardian. [s]

The book is about two kids who have to save their guardian ( either their grandfather or uncle) after he and some other scientists were taken. They follow the instructions hidden in a button The he broke off his jacket. Then they ride this secret tram to the north were they then ride snow mobiles to a base and from their go to the place that their guardian and the scientists are being held. They save them all and they also save a girl who was being genetically modified at the camp.

I hope I can find the book so I can reread it.
