I glare at her hand and ponder in deep thought. "Fine." I grumble. I stretch out my arm and put my hand in her's.
"Dude," I stare at her. "You trusted me when I took you to meet the family. So what's your plan?"
"Yeah. What are we gonna do to find Mrs. Snake?"
i grab maj's other hand and ruby grabs my arm. step forward infront of the furthest mirror
Mirror mirror wall that is
take me into the mazed abyss
travel to another dimension
free us from this worldly tension
beg and plead and soar away
into another immortal day
these mirrrors be a crystal meth
and take us to the land of death.
loved ones taken, love retrieved
make not the day coem when we must grieve.
i shout the words and then...
a tight pulling, like suffocation. and then a relieving sense. we open our eyes slowly. the mirrors are back and the floor is cold beneath me. i get up and mae's and maj look flustered and bewildered. i grab their arms and pull them out of the cubicles and we run down the same corridor. we walk out the entrance, where there is no longer a gaurd. the rides and children and people and smell of candy floss and churros and candy apples is gone.
we walk onto a grey stoen path and into the entrance of a hedge. we tuun back and the Haunt!! is gone. instead there is a wall of bushy hedges and in it is carved two words... we have entered a maze....THE maze
"you guys...welcome to Edoms Maze!"

When my eyes have adjusted to the low lights I reach to the floor to feel it. "It's leaves. And mud. And I can feel there's something here. Something that lives." I look up at Zaynah. "Z. This maze is alive."
(sorry my poem was a little rushed.)

"Cree-ool." I say, a smile spreading across my face. When I get weird looks from the others, I explain. "Creepy in a cool way. So... Kat and Daniel are here?"
"I'm not going to my Dad's place. Nu-uh. No way." I say. In the side of my armour a bump appears. "Rise and shine, Arnold." I say gloomily.
we have to find our way into the middle of this maze and on our way we'll find the snake. we still dont know who or what we're dealing with here so be careful. Its like in HP GOF get to the centre before its too late. Ok. Good luck you guys. Ok and keep a look for yourself and each other. some of these things creep up on people...BOO!"

I roll my eyes and smile at Zaynah. "So... we are off the win the Tri-Wizard Tournament! Ready, set, go!" I shout, and I race towards the entrance of the maze.
"Mae!" I shout, but she can't hear me. Where she entered the maze is only a big hole visable
Well lets go." i urge maj. We race into the maze and catch up with mae who is already panting. Remember. It may get harder to breath because were just getting used to godly air. Should be fine soon though i say in answer to mae abd maj's panicked faces
"Maybe..." I wonder aloud in thought. "You know how trees give off oxygen? Maybe it would be easier to breath and fast adjustment if we had one." I ah-ha. I run to the side of the maze wall. I run my fingers along the earth right next to it. Fresh soil stirs under my finger tips. I dig my finger into the ground and close my eyes in concentration. I open my eyes and smile. I take my finger out of the ground and watch a small sprout come out of the hole I created. It grew in hyper speed until it was a miniature pine tree. I dig it out and behold it to my friends. "Air!"
((I think you mean fingers instead of figures :P))I suck in the oxygen. "OK, now let's go." We follow the maze to a crossroad. "I think it'll be fastest if we each go one way." I say, not meeting their eyes. "I know, I know" I say as Mae starts to object. "No splitting up. But hear me out. If we each go one way, we'll cover a larger area of the maze. If Z or I find the middle of the maze first, we can get you and Ruby through shadowtravel. If you or Ruby find the middle of the maze first, we can get there through shadowtravel. Because that's the crappy part of shadowtravel. You need to know where you go." When I see Mae's confused face I sigh. "You need to focus on something, like when we went to Debby's I focused on that playground. And I could do that because I knew what it looked like. I can find you, because I know what you look like. But for some reason I'm unable to focus on Kat."
"forces. Of course." i exclaim "godly magic protects and preserves them. forces that keep them hidden and trapped. thats why neither me nor you can focus on daniel or kat and get tot hem by shadowtravel."
I wasn't listening to the conversation that was going on. All this time I was sort of walking in a daze. But, when we got to the maze, I suddenly had an idea. Concentrating, I conjured up a sort of odd-looking sphere, which I duplicated and tossed one to each of my companions. "Here," I said,"Communication."
"What it does," I say, struggling to open the sphere, and finally it cracked open and the inside was a maze of twisting, twirling, walls. "This is a communication device, and....a map."
"Great. Thanks Ruby." I say, smiling. "See you guys in the middle." I turn and walk off to the left.
no. maj. i think we shoudl go in pairs. there 4 of us. lets go in two's. if somethign attacks you or me well need back up.
I nodded. Thats a good idea.
ruby should go with mae becuase she know how to use these devices and mae still hasnt got her powers. me and you shoud go together becuase u have a swords and i have more arrows and well need em both. also both our persuasion power could come in handy
"Got it." I said, and Mae and I immediately began showing Mae in great detail how to work the map/communication thingie.
"Ummm...ruby, mae in case something happens...to any of us...i just wanted to say. Thanks you. For helping me get this far..." i blushed slightly. i wasn't used to letting my emotion spill like this
I pat Zaynah good-naturedly on the back. "Thanks, it sure is nice to know I'm needed sometimes!" I turned to Maj and said, "alright, lets move out!"

We continue to walk for what feels like a couple of miles. When we encounter another crossroad we decide to go left. And then right. And another left. Then Zaynah stops walking and I bump into her. "Why did yo-"Then I see what she's looking at. A girl is sitting in the middle of the path. Doing absolutely nothing. When she sees us she smiles. Not a friendly smile, a scary one. I want to reach for my blade, but Zaynah stops me.
No. it's an empousi. and she knows something. still keep your hand on your blade just in case!

As me and Ruby walked, it was dead silence. No sound but the rustling wind over the high maze walls. I was still clutching my tree I had created. I was fidgeting with its pine needles, doing the best I could to keep it alive in these conditions. "Soooo..." I said, breaking the silence. When I glance at Ruby, I see her stern expression that means she doesn't want to talk.

we slowly edge towards her, careful as if she was a wild dog instead of a girl. she snarled and i saw her teeth sharp and glistening in the dark.
and then she pounced. maj reached for her sword and drew it. the empousi was on me her nails digging into my face clawing at my eyes. my bow fell from my hand and i screamed. the girls nails were sharp and the wripped my skin. the girl's knees pushed into my waist and hips and it was painful. I was screaming and all i could see was the girls face livid and alive in front of me.
and then she pounced. maj reached for her sword and drew it. the empousi was on me her nails digging into my face clawing at my eyes. my bow fell from my hand and i screamed. the girls nails were sharp and the wripped my skin. the girl's knees pushed into my waist and hips and it was painful. I was screaming and all i could see was the girls face livid and alive in front of me.
With a quick blow I decapitate the empousai. "OK, maybe going alone was not one of my best ideas." I say, panting.
I heard a pained cry from somewhere near by. "Gimme that thing." I say, yanking the sphere from Ruby's hands. I work at it until it shows me how to get to the source of the screams. "Lets go!" I shout as I take off. After we ran for a while we got lost. "It should be right here!" I exclaimed. I hear anther yelp for help and I turn around and take a different turn. I hand the sphere back to Ruby in defeat. "Where is it?!?!" I shout. I stomp my foot in frustration and the ground cracks beneath me. I yelp in surprise and jump back. The crack grows until its as big as a cave. "And now we run." I shriek and I start running away from the crack, yet it follows. I turn and go this way and that, until I come upon a girl with bad scratches on her face. "Zaynah!" I shout, dashing to her side.
i am sobbing and still screaming as if the empousi is till on top of me. eventually im stop screamin but the tears coem tdown. im delirious snd oblivious to everything. i pant and touch m face. my fingers come away wet and red. luckily it was the side of my face and not too much damage had been done...well to my face anyway. look down at my arms its bruised by the wight of the girl and blood streams down my arm from a gash in the middle of my forearm. the blood makes me nauseous and i gag.
"I'm sure I put it here somewhere." I mutter as I start patting down my pockets. "I must have... Got it." I open my hand to show what looks like toffees to Zaynah. "Ambro." I say. "For the hungry godling on the road. It comes pre-packaged, so amazing for moments like this."As I make her eat one, I help her up. "C'mon, we're not there yet."
"Shh... Its ok. Calm down and it won't hurt as much." I say in a calming voice. I examine the wounds and nod my head in confirmation. I rub my hand in a circle in the ground. A soft bush sprouts in the circle and I support Zaynah's head on it. "Rest. Your heart beat needs to go down to stop the mass bleeding." I explain. I get up and walk over to the edge of the stone wall. I run my finger along the bottom and blow on the line. Where I blew, a fresh line of Pansies grew. "These will have to do." I mutter. I pluck up 4 flowers and take them over to Zaynah. I scoop up some dirt into my hand. I poke my finger into the dirt, looking for the core. Once I find the orb of life in the dirt, I take it out and place it on the side of Zaynah's face. It starts to shimmer and the cuts instantly close. I take a breath of relief. Zaynah's face softens and seems to look better. I take the Pansies and pluck off the petals. I split the petals into halves and rub the essences of the flower onto the bruises. They return to normal color after a few seconds. Then I look upon the gash. "Oh boy." I grunt.
The pain instantly subsides. I grab mae's hand tightly as she smooths her remedy on my arm. this stings but isn't painful. i suck on the ambrosia that maj handed me. i breath hard and hard and then slow and slow and then finally my breathing evens. i rest for a minute and hten sit up.
"im so sorry you guys. ididn't mean to.. that doesnt usually happen to me" i am angry at myself for letting me act like that. STUPID!
i smile at mae and maj and we hug in turn. i grab my bow and we set off again this time together so each of our different senses can help one another. i look down at my arm and its clear except for the faintest of silvery scars.
my eye hurts where the empousi had sunk her claws into but i'm not going to put mae or maj in any more trouble. it shoud be fine...hopefully empousi didnt have venom in their claws

"Funny. We leave you 2 alone for 5 minutes and someone almost dies!" I giggle. "What do you think we will run into next?" I ask Zaynah.
I shiver. "One of those things? Can't we just face a fluffy teddy bear for once?!?!"
