All editions should be combined, and will show on the series page. Goodreads policy is to keep all published editions/covers; please don't remove book data.
Please see #2 & 3 in the thread I'm linking; also, #4 will instruct you on setting the default edition- https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....

This is a completely different book, rewritten and with a completely different ISBN number. Please do not combine!
Goodreads policy is to combine rewritten books with their originals.
You may wish to set the newest edition as the default, as was suggested above. Here's how: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

If you rewrote it by adding/subtracting, then Cassandra is correct and it needs to be combined.

Please see Rivka's comment #4. Also please read the Librarian Manual for further information/insight as to GR policies.

Then why did you not write a new book with a new title? It appears to be the same book with some editing, which is covered under GR policy. And if it is NOT - they why did you not write a new book with a new title?

Because the book is still part of the same series. I didn't write a new series. I just wrote a different book 2.

If its a new book in the series, then it should have a different title. If you re-wrote book #2, it truly IS the same book...just with additions and/or subtractions. Even if you totally changed what happened inside...you still just sorta re-wrote the same book.
Please do not vandalize the GR records. Please just say "Now updated with more content!" or "Now with 700 more pages!" or "Updated and expanded!"
That's what the best-selling authors I read do. In order that their readers don't feel taken advantage of.

I've already stated that I've accepted the policy and have adjusted my descriptions to reflect this.
