Final Thread: Chapters 43-end

For the final thread, I want the first few people to respond to briefly research Garth Stein, his works, and his life. After reading "The Art of Racing in the Rain", how does this background affect Ethos (that is Stein's credibility)?

After that has been answered, remember Dutch's post in the first thread about the significance of Enzo's name? Out of curiosity I did some research of the symbolism of other names. In particular, Zoe is the Greek translation of Eve, and means "life". We can derive that Zoe is a symbol of Eve and her life carrying on in a way after death. What other similar symbols can you find in this section? Analyze the significance of these symbols.
