I truly appreciate the commentary of H.A. Ironside on the Book of Ezra. I chose to read straight through the text this time around making notes of significant points. The next time I read this book (most likely in 2018) I will read it in conjunction with a more detailed study of each chapter of the book of Ezra.

While the book is certainly not written to be read like a work on fiction, the writing style of method is very effective and enjoyable. I also appreciated the fact that Ironside gives adequate depth to the study of the book of Ezra without dwelling on word studies and countless pages of historical information. This is book really serves as an excellent resource to begin framing up a study of the book of Ezra. While it may not, and most likely is not, the end-all resource for studying this subject it served its purpose well and is a book I would certainly recommend for similar minded individuals.
