I'm starting to feel lonely in these Buddy Reads :P... With the power of 1.5x speed narration, I've been starting Buddy Reads on time instead of early, and finishing before anybody else shows up... just did it again with The Emperor's Blades... I think Rob's on chapter 3... and everybody else is starting today/tomorrow/later...
Yes I'm finding it pretty easy to work down the list coz they're all buddy reads!! XDSorry you're starting to feel lonely, I am too for the opposite reason - I'm behind!

Even if I wanted to go join in some more BRs, there aren't many to choose from... Low Town is apparently so bad everyone quit... Empire of Storms is so off-the-radar that only the first book has audio... I really am reading everything possible, it seems...
Don't worry about me... I'm complaining in jest, mostly... Like you said, I continue to comment on old BRs for weeks after until everybody finishes... reading as fast as I have been, I don't comment as much, because I'm usually reading 5-20 chapters in between posts (since writing spoilers on my phone at work takes forever)...

I feel you on the speed thing. I keep planning on starting BRs, but I either miss them, or finish before anyone get into them. Especially those I read on audio (2.5x speed). I will get it together and take part in a buddy read properly next month.

I happened gradually, but I think thats my comfy speed. I think that's probably the rate at which I read so it works.

I only started using audiobooks this year.
I'm a research scientist so there's all this time during the day when my hands are busy but I can wear head phones, so add that to my hour commute every day, and you get lots of reading time I wasn't using before. At 2.5x speed I'm getting lots more reading done.

I've been using audiobooks more and more the past 3 years... I did all my reading on Kindle before that... and physical books before 5 years ago...
It takes me a month to get through an audiobook as I only seem to be able to listen to them in the bath xDPhysical books are still my favourite.

Well I've acquired a few more books... But they were with Christmas vouchers, so doesn't really count eh?I've filled in A Skinful of Shadows as my round 2 reward. But I've also got Warbreaker and Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection on their way and I'm not going to put myself in the hole for them.
Gift season is over, so anything other than free books will count now!
