The Selection
question
Maxon or Aspen? (Only the first book! No spoilers!)

It is REALLY hard to choose who I like better. In the beginning I thought there was no way I could like Maxon more than Aspen, and now I am torn in two.

MAXON!!!!! I HATE ASPEN RIGHT NOW!!!!! HOW CAN HE STAND TO DO WHAT HE DID TO AMERICA????!!!!!!! I LOVE MAXON HE IS THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN!!!!!!
#TEAM MAXON!!!!
#TEAM MAXON!!!!
I'm glad there's no spoilers here since I didn't get to read book 2 yet, but I agree with the majority here, Maxon is the better choice. Aspen's just a jerk!
I love Maxon, he's such a gentleman and a sweetie... The fact he's willing to do anything to make America happy says enough. Aspen didn't want anything to do with her because she *GASP* Made him food!? HOW DARE SHE!? Because apparently he's gotta be a MANLY MAN.
Maxon.
I was turned off by Aspen when America brings him dinner. His reaction was pretty douchey in my opinion.

MAXON, Aspen is okay, but come on MAXON is a PRINCE!. He treats America as a princes all the time. he is always super nice with her. Aspen don't appreciate America, she does not deserve her!. MAXON 4 LIFE!
MAXON! Aspens a TURD.
Aspen can't just go to her and beg for her to take him back, he basically forced her to enter the selection, and she's not going to back out now.
I love how Maxon tells her that if she says yes, he'll send everyone else home that day, it's adorable.
I HATE CELESTE.

Maxon was one of the sweetest characters I think I have ever read. :) I don't think I would want America to be with anybody else. The Aspen/America thing never stuck out to me as a couple.
It has been team Maxon since the first book 100% He just draws you in straight away with his personality 'that really is not possible in non fiction' !

Maxon. Such a gentleman. He really loves her, and Celste is awful. Can't wait to read the final two books!

I agree.
So much better because of all those reasons.
He cares more about America and her freedom, and if she is happy wayyyyy more then Aspen. And he's a prince!!!
He's so kind and even when America is yelling he still believes in her. So supportive.
I just finished The One today and like Maxon better.

by the last book I really do not think that there is any one on team aspen.
Aspen was pretty swoon worthy and romantic coming back (definitely appealing to the us against the world inner romantic), but Maxon all the way. ❤️

Maxon for sure. i think that there's something to be said about a guy that knows he's out of his element and still manages to find perfection to the best that it can be with someone.
Aspen, well he pissed me off - he had this great girl right in front of him and let his pride get in the way
