Chapter 1-12- first time reading this author and I like her style. Story is moving quick.

(view spoiler)[ I feel bad for her.... I can't imagine what it would be like to live with a father like that... and then what happened with Sawyer. But can I tell you... I love these little lists... and I am reminiscing about my old crushes. "Sawyer pillow" so cute. The rivalry is so cliche though, reminds me of a hallmark movie I saw.

Who knows how much of this story I'll retain, as I'll probably only listen when I play games, and then my mind's somewhere else XD Only listening to this for a challenge.

Alright I'll probably be starting this one soon. Definitely tonight. I'll only be reading #1 though.

Maddison, I am so glad you recommended this book. But now it is 11:20... and I have been reading for hours, but I could not put it down. It drew me in.... I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

(view spoiler)[So at first it started out a bit cliche and simple, but I love what the author did with this story. Especially the end, I really bought into the romance. And an interesting twist was.. she didn't really focus that much on the paranormal aspect... we still have no idea why she saw the vision. But the frustration that Jules felt was so tangible. I mean I really felt bad for her. I really thought she was crazy. But what is so cool is at the end after everything was over. She explained the whole family rivalry. And in my opinion that was critical. Because anger over a recipe wasn't believable to me, but now that I understand the background it makes the story a lot more real. I did experience a lot of feels with this one. I really liked Jules brother.

I really admire authors that can take a simple story line and just expand upon it.

Etc. I just think it is so clever. I've never seen anything like that before. The items are numbered like on a list in the book.

Review: Awesome book! Pleased with my choice of audios I randomly pick for challenges lately! Have to say this book had the biggest cliffhanger ending I've read in a long time, what with (view spoiler)[them still deciding to be together (thank gosh!) and then her dad coming downstairs and Sawyer starting to see the visions as well. (hide spoiler)] I found it totally amazing how (view spoiler)[Sawyer stood up to her parents, and the fact he said 'I want to hold you' in his note to her. (hide spoiler)] I loved it. I can't believe (view spoiler)[the secrets her parents were carrying around either. (hide spoiler)] Probably won't read the rest of the series, but this one I enjoyed.
