I'm trying to understand how this works with Goodreads - I see that post 646 says 644 was fixed but the rating that is based on nothing (definitely not the book, which a rating/review is supposed to be based on) is still there. Why is that?Thank you

Update - I'm not questioning the rating. I agree with you. It's their opinion and I have no problem with that. What I was wondering though is how it's considered a legitimate review when you know for a fact they have not read any part of the book? What are they rating? This is from the Goodreads Review Policy page: Review Guidelines

The person has not read my book so how are they expressing an honest opinion on it? I should note that I actually think they accidentally rated the book when they were pushing Want to Read. I have no reason to believe the rating is a malicious act. Yet, it does affect my book in a negative way that is not justified.
Goodreads lets people use the rating system however they want. This means that if someone wants "5 stars" to mean, for example, "books I am excited about reading," they can do that. They don't have to actually have read the book to add a rating.Goodreads is not a bookseller. It's a site for people to catalog their own books however they want.

#696Normally not found ASINs are not removed because that can (and often do) refer to no longer available Kindle editions. In this case, however, they are clearly import mistakes of test ASINs so they're queued now. That whole author is a mess so working on that too.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of that (I'm not an owner of an kindle, so no erperience). Even if it didn't matter here, it might be in the futute, so it's good to know.

Often the prior Kindle editions are then deleted from Amazon so there's only one Kindle copy available at any given time.

I switched it to the default description, but I'm wondering if that's even a valid edition of the book, since it doesn't have an ISBN. Maybe someone created the edition thinking that was how you post your review.

They have different covers, therefore a librarian is not going to delete.

#714 - Having looked at it, and the content of Wonder, I agree with you and I'm happy to make that merge. The ISBN is a bit of a red herring (just shows that it's a Knopf book really), but given the author and content match, I'm happy.

TBH though the only add is the 'author' so I suspect it's going to have to go to Support to get done, unless we agree with them that 12 lines on a stamp count as a 12p. book or something. Oh la... And I noted Rotating Stamp at random :/ There are some items which, technically, are books but most are along the lines of office stationary. Yup, seems more for GR Support. :)
