Checking how to add to series

I always add the series title to the sort by field, as I frequently search by series, and I'm sure many others do as well.
I'll fix the series for you.
ETA: Someone else did it :)

If you post in this group with a link to the book and series (for new books in an existing series), a librarian will add the book to the series.
For a new series, post links to any books in the series and how the books are connected (same universe and/or shared characters) and a librarian can create the series for you.
For the 'sort by title', if the series information is in the title section, then yes add it to the 'sort by title' field.

The sort field has nothing to do with search indexing.

Could I also please have Gray's Blade added to the https://www.goodreads.com/series/2186... series as book 2? :) It shares the same characters.

Sorry if this query is elsewhere, I couldn't find it. I am adding books to my series and just wanted to double check the process.
When I added the new book, I typed in the title as well as put the series title and the number in parentheses as directed, as follows:
doggone (unvamped, #2)
However, it didn't come up as part of the series. Does this take a bit of time, or have I done it wrong?
Also, when filling in the 'sort by title' field, do we also include the series title and number in parentheses?
Thanks in advance :)
