Which mean what exactly(in this sense)?

I have read the trilogy already but will definitely follow this discussion :)

Books I need just magically appear on my hard drive, god of books just loves me for some reason.
Literary, as Mark Lawrence put it, "has THEMES", all the DEEP stuff, all the hard questions of life. Also I take it it has more beautiful writing style, maybe more flowery, more metaphors. Maybe more character-driven (character arcs are preferred?), maybe more slow-burn.

PS=Do not open wikia page for this book.

Do it! I couldn't wait to read it either and already started!

The book is kind of over detailed, at some places I would be bored to death if I weren't listening audiobook. Fortunately audiobook at 1.6 speed is amazing, the narrator does a good job voicing even the emotions, although at some points (after the break or something I guess) his pace changes drastically and voices he makes for each character changes slightly too.

I just finished and I totally agree about the slowness of it, would've been a bit of a tough read if I hadn't been listening to audiobook. The narrator is awesome and did an amazing job with all the voices.

Anyway, I'm 100 pages in... and I think I found a rare for me 4-star read. Maybe. We wouldn't want to jinx it.
I like that it's a story of one person since childhood, basic linear progression is my favorite, no flashbacks, no changes of POV.
Fitz is smart, how can I not love that?
The writing, jesus, they weren't lying about it being literary!
I usually hate slow books, but here I rarely skim, it's cozy-slow, it depicts all the things I want to read about even if they aren't exciting to the average reader.
And there's something inexplicably unarchetypal about his character. Well, ok, I'm just lazy to exlain it, but here it's not just the do-gooder, not just the moody guy.

lol lol definitely cheated, but I couldn't help it! Didn't expect the library to have it available so soon! And apparently I have no self control....
I thought that the slowness might hold me back too (and I've heard the 2nd book is even slower in some parts), but I barely noticed. Cozy-slow is the perfect description of it. Fitz is just such a vibrant character that I kept getting sucked into the story for way longer than I meant to. Already put the 2nd book on hold at the library, but I might have to just break down and buy it so I can read it now instead of waiting.

I cheated so I can start The Way of Kings on time. Who am I kidding, I'm a cheater when it comes to books I know :(
When I was in middle school my friend and I agreed on reading Harry Potter's 5th book 100pg a day and discuss it the other day. Needless to say I could barely hold myself just 1 day :(
I'm on %74 of the audiobook, it still goes slow but like you said not a boring slow.
One problem I had (view spoiler)

What was the deal with fitz (view spoiler) I see no purpose in that. It sounds cool, I guess.

I agree 100% on both.
I didn't understand the message either, did Fitz tried to show he didn't need to hide anything from the King or something else? No idea.

I was wondering the same thing about the knife... I kept waiting for it to make sense, it seemed like it was supposed to be an important part.
