22. A book with alliteration in the title
A few from my TBR, I'm considering:The Secret Scripture
The Girl with All the Gifts
The Six Sacred Stones
White is for Witching
I've been wanting to read some Salman Rushdie and I was thinking Haroun and the Sea of Stories seemed like a fun place to start. That's got a little alliteration in it, right?
Cappucinos, Cupcakes, and a Corpse is free today! Thanks for the recommendation :)Nicole wrote: "There's a cozy mystery series by Harper Lin called Cape Bay Cafe Mysteries that uses alliteration in every title. The titles include:
[book:Cappuccinos, Cupcakes, and a Corpse|2560..."
I have decided to go with Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman ArchetypeThis book can also fall under the prompts for
-A book from a celebrity book club (Emma Watson)
-A book about feminism
Short story collections are okay for the challenge, right? I just got The Dark Dark: Stories from the library and want it to count somewhere.
Would Dan Chaon's Ill Will count as alliteration? Some define it as repetition of sounds in the stressed syllables... I just finished the book and would love to be able to use it for a prompt!

I hadn't decided on a book for that prompt yet so I'll just use that one. :) I was originally planning on reading The Woman in White for this prompt so I guess I'll stick to that plan...
I think i'm going with Etiquette & Espionage for this prompt. I believe that all the books in the Finishing School series would work for this as well.
I'm currently reading Labyrinth Lost for this - Latin American LGBT (bisexual) YA story about bruja sisters in Brooklyn.I was also considering:
Cat's Cradle
Angela's Ashes
Guards! Guards! (love Terry Pratchett, and this one can be read out of sequence I'm told)
Smilla's Sense of Snow (this is my Nordic Noir pick, but would also work here)
Thank you for adding instructions on how to copy into Google Sheets! If I was one of the reasons why you had to add instructions, I apologize. I could not figure it out the other day because I have never done that before. :)
Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West is what I went with. It's a cute YA contemporary that follows a girl trying to get more life experience and dealing with feelings for her best friend.
The Mighty Miss Malone is a great read! Not only is there alliteration in the title, it is a theme throughout the book.
I went with The Life List, which I just zipped through for a book club. It's a sappy, predictable romance, but I was evidently in the mood for such a thing.

Reading through this, I think I have a better idea of what an alliteration is. But to be sure, could Hell House be considered one? Thanks!

Awesome, thank you so much! 😊

Thanks :)
Oh good I'm glad someone said Woman in the Window for this prompt. I want to read it and glad I can put it here!
I had Matheson's "I am Legend" on my 2018 reading list, so that would be it for me. Interesting how the book and the movie are pretty different while retaining the core essence nonetheless.
Hey Roman -- I don't really care how people choose to tackle these prompts, but I do feel like I should tell you "I am Legend" does not have alliteration in the title. Maybe you meant to post this to the thread for a book that's a movie you've already seen?
I had been planning to read Wonder Woman: Warbringer for this category, but then an audiobook I had put on hold came available, and I started listening to it, and finally I realized that DUH American Assassin has alliteration too!! I'm still reading that Wonder Woman book though, when I get it ... maybe I can use it for another category, or maybe it will just be a non-challenge book.

I live in Tulsa, too, and was just thinking of adding Peyton Place to my list!
