Alright perfect :)
Into Chapter 6 (view spoiler)
I think I'm going to need to increase my rating for TNOTW. I think I only gave it 2 or 3 stars. I'll increase it to 3 if it isn't there. I feel like this book won't be much different from that, but it's already hooking me more. To be fair though we are only at the start. I remember in the first book being frustrated when (view spoiler) Really hope Ambrose shows up in this one :p

Okay so I have an incredibly difficult goal with this book: finish it by Sunday 5pm. I need to do this because it works for a challenge, and that deadline is Sunday 5pm. I could pick up another book for the challenge, but I just really want to finally be able to focus on this one, so I'm taking this opportunity to focus to death haha. At least I just finished an assignment for one class and a test for another. Now just got an essay to focus on due on the 4th, so I'm getting started on that today so I don't die XD
And I have the perfect opportunity to get some more read now :D Sprinting here I come!
Btw if you haven't figured it out yet I tend to talk a lot :p

At least there's a lot of events in this book. And they all seem to have their own start and end, they don't really bleed into each other, which makes them memorable.

Into Chapter 4 I can't remember how #1 ended, but I know something went down between Chronicler and Bast. Something about Bast owning him..."
I don't remember all of what happened at the end either but I'm pretty sure that (view spoiler)

Into Chapter 6 Yay I'm pleased that he's gone back to Eolian! And he's seen Denna again. How come they don't see each other all the time after the events of Book 1? I assumed t..."
If I remember correctly, wasn't it due to the fact that he couldn't meet her when they had arranged to and so she disappeared and Kvothe found the note in his room at the inn too late? I can't remember if they saw each other again after that though.
Chapter 6 (view spoiler)
I find it interesting that it is Kvothe's arrogance that makes you not like him, when for me it is what makes him who he is and a great character!

Ah right, so there's no proper reunion? No idea how they can just pick up and they're just both automatically on the same page.
(view spoiler)
Bleh I hate defiant smart-aleck main characters. I just want a normal passive girl like myself who I can actually relate to. I mean, yeah his arrogance and haughtiness does make the story interesting, but I just really dislike him as a person.

I think his arrogance really added to the story in chapter 6 when (view spoiler)
Yeah, while it's super clear that they both just really like each other! I don't think I ever realised he was only 15 XD

You liking the book so far? I'll only be reading a little bit today, because I have class for the next 3.5 hours, and I got a new game last night that I'm going to play for around an hour until work. Don't wanna go to work today bleh. And then I also need to work some more on my essay, so I'll only read for around 20min on my break.

Chapter 7 - (view spoiler)
Yeah, I'm enjoying it right now, i'm hoping it's as good as the first one but we'll see. How are you finding it? That's fine, it gives me time to catch up as this is the first chance I've really had to read for a longer period of time!
Money thing: (view spoiler)
Chapter 7 (view spoiler)
Yeah I'm liking it much more than Book 1. TNOTW was more background, and this one just gets right into it. It's still not the kind of story I was expecting when I picked up TNOTW but it's alright. I was expecting more magic and fantasy, rather than idk magical realism in a way?

I'm pleased that I'm picking this book up when I have a little bit of time. And I'm actually wanting to, rather than just browsing the internet.
I just had no clue why she left like that XD And I just assumed the plum was her perfume or something.
You still reading now, or stopped for a bit?

Bumer I can't read your Chapter 18 spoiler yet as I haven't read it XD I'll probably read it tonight on my break. But then when I get home I know I'm probably not going to read that much, as I'll be playing more of my new game.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds XD Not sure how long I'll play it for today, as I'm really bad at it still and keep dying, but I do also need to do a bit more on my essay and I also have a flat viewing (coincidence!) and then a short work shift in the evening. I know I said I was going to read a lot, but let's just see XD

haha I don't have to squeeze it it just depends if I want to or not xD when I don't have work until the evening my day goes to fast it sucks
Pausing this one for a few days, just have to read something else. I'll probably finish this one in a week or maybe a little longer, depends how much I want to read and how much homework I have.

Yes thank you :) I'll probably finish up my book either today or tomorrow so that I can then get back to WMF.
You're reading this pretty fast! I wish I didn't have so much uni classes and work and assignments and essay otherwise I'd be reading a lot more. If only I didn't need to do summer school this year and then I'd be on my game.
Just thought I should check in and let you know what's happening XD I'm reading super slow, just chilling and working on my university papers.
Kind of wish this book wasn't as long because I kind of want to read other things XD And knowing that I'm jumping straight into Game of Thrones after's scaring me. I might alternate between this and that though, we'll see. I need another update from you to see where you're up to.
My name is Kvothe.
I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep.
You may have heard of me.
So begins the tale of a hero told from his own point of view — a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man's Fear, an escalating rivalry with a powerful member of the nobility forces Kvothe to leave the University and seek his fortune abroad. Adrift, penniless, and alone, he travels to Vintas, where he quickly becomes entangled in the politics of courtly society. While attempting to curry favor with a powerful noble, Kvothe uncovers an assassination attempt, comes into conflict with a rival arcanist, and leads a group of mercenaries into the wild, in an attempt to solve the mystery of who (or what) is waylaying travelers on the King's Road.
All the while, Kvothe searches for answers, attempting to uncover the truth about the mysterious Amyr, the Chandrian, and the death of his parents. Along the way, Kvothe is put on trial by the legendary Adem mercenaries, is forced to reclaim the honor of the Edema Ruh, and travels into the Fae realm. There he meets Felurian, the faerie woman no man can resist, and who no man has ever survived ... until Kvothe.
In The Wise Man's Fear, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.
