Thanks for adding me to the list! I just completed the 2017 challenge. 2018 will be my 4th (I think) year of the challenge, but always to Popsugar one with a smaller fb group. I also do the yearly challenge and am only about 4 books away from completing yearly goal. I love goodreads as it feeds my reading habit! Looking forward to 2018. The first book I am going to read in the next book in the series--Aubrey and Maturin will take to the high seas the last week of Dec. :)

Love this spreadsheet.. nice and simple.
Hello! This is my first year going the Popsugar challenge. I have done reading challenges the past two years so I am familiar with them! I was wondering if anyone has already started putting together lists of books ideas for each prompt? I wanted to get a head start so any help is appreciated :)

I'd like to use this for myself.. how would I do that?
Catherine wrote: "I completely copied your AirTable List and made it my own. Thank you for sharing."What is an AirTable?
Crumb wrote: "I'd like to use this for myself.. how would I do that?"If you open up the spreadsheet and click on "File" in the upper left corner you should find an option to make a copy. That would allow you to saved the spreadsheet on your own google drive.
I'm rather new to Google Sheets myself so if I'm missing a critical piece of information I hope someone else will jump in!
You could also, I think, just copy and paste the information into a regular Excel spreadsheet on your computer.
could you email this link to me I am having problems with the link and printing kansas_sunflower84@yahoo.comthank You!

I try to read at least 85% women authors and am trying to significantly improve my percent of authors of color and international authors (I'm in the US). I like that you have a column for author's sex. I also try to have my books overlap in multiple categories.

I start with my own to-read list and see what I want to read that fits into the categories. If I get stuck, then I look to other lists for suggestions. I like to use books I've already decided I want to read before I add new ones just for the challenge.

Thanks, Sara!
Took me a few days but I finally got my spreadsheet done and picked three book options for each prompt. Feel free to use :)https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
Thanks for the links everyone! It's so amazing to see how dedicated you all are :D I think it's so hard to create one, so I defintely will take a look on yours to get some inspiration, for making my own lists but surely to get some inspiration for reading more different kind of books!

Crumb wrote: "Can anyone explain to me what an airtable is?"I can! It's a free database that can be accessed with a web app, iOS/Android apps, and a desktop app. It's similar to a spreadsheet, but with better linking to other records -- basically Microsoft Access, but SO much simpler, prettier and more intuitive. (I don't work for Airtable, I swear! But it has been a godsend after I tried and failed for months to make Excel, Access, and Google Sheets/Forms work for me in the ways I wanted them to.)
I'd recommend Airtable for people who want to check off multiple challenges with each book and keep track of how many books fit a particular challenge. At the end of the year, I can look at my record for one challenge and see the five books I read that fit the challenge. And when I'm deciding what I'll read next year, I'll probably first go for the books that check off the most challenges -- it helps me further narrow down what to read next, i.e., why I love book challenges in the first place.
If a spreadsheet suffices for what you want to track with your reading, it might not be worth switching over to Airtable. But if you want to be extra organized, it's a great resource! I shared my database in my earlier post; you're welcome to click around and see how it works/copy and customize for your own use.
Google will no way let me have this spreadsheet. Could some sweet person email it to me, party pleaseBlu-horse@hotmail.com

Thanks for sharing! I may adapt this one for my various challenges.
Just wanted to comment quickly and say hello and thanks for posting a great way to keep track of all of the books we read! I took the table that Sara created and put it into an Excel sheet for myself, changing up some of the colors too. This is my first reading challenge that I've done and I'm so glad that I found this group to help me stay on top of everything! You are all great! :D

Hi Vernice, I absolutely love your spreadsheet too, but I wasn't able to copy it as well. Do you have a blank copy available or one that I am able to copy over without somehow changing what you have done. I'm not sure how to mess around with google docs without messing up something that you have done on it.
i think i'm missing something when it comes to google docs. If I try to open a spreadsheet it says I need to ask permission first?

This is great! I like having a hard copy, but this will be super helpful too, as I can update it wherever :)

So does everyone set up both a spreadsheet and then the reply to the shared list in the Goodreads group? I do wish the Goodreads list was easier to work with ... I've been working to populate my list and it's quite cumbersome!

For ideas/recs/possibles I'll use my bullet journal and a combination of spreadsheets/pdf I found here.
My manic, list-obsessed little heart is all a-flutter with those lovely offerings here!

Thank you! I do the same thing with the two different lists.
