Churchill’s UFO memorandum
On the 28th July 1952 Winston Churchill wrote a memo to one of his chief scientific advisors Lord Cherwell (Frederick Lindermann)

What does all this stuff about flying saucers amount to? What can it mean? What is the truth? Let me have a report at your convenience.

At the time of the Churchill flying saucer Memorandum a group known as the flying saucer working party operated within the government under a shroud of secrecy. Information regarding both Churchill’s UFO memo and the FSWP wasn’t made available to the public until 2010. Since then the ministry of defence have steadily been releasing UFO reports stretching back to the 1950s. It has been rumoured that the MoD is about to release a final set of UFO documents.

When I downloaded Churchill UFO memo in 2011 from the National Archives I thought that it would make a brilliant topic for a book series. I then set about writing the first in a trilogy of books set in the 1950s.

About the book series
Codename Angel begins on 28th July 1952 when Cambridge Physicist Ralph Frederick is summoned to Churchill’s office and given an unusual assignment. He is put on a secret panel Codenamed ‘Angel’ whose job it is to investigate UFO sightings up and down the United Kingdom.
A reluctant and very sceptical Frederick soon discovers that there is much more to the flying saucer phenomenon. After a close encounter at an RAF base in the north of England Frederick is drawn into a world of Alien encounters. He also learns that both KGB and CIA operatives are at large in the UK also looking into UFO sightings.
Codename Angel has proven very popular on both dies of the Atlantic.

About me
I am a veteran UFO researcher of over twenty years. I have investigated many cases, from Roswell 1974 to Rendlesham Forest 1980. In 1995 I travelled to Area 51 to investigate the UFO sightings over the secret base located at groom lake.
I am a massive fan of shows like the X Files and Dark Skies and films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind which also inspired me to write the book series.
In 2014 I released the second part to my book series, The Angel Conspiracy. I am due to release the third part The Angel Prophecy later in the summer. I have also written a spinoff short story series called Tales from Majestic which is set on the other side of the Atlantic in the wake of the 1947 Roswell incident.

My views on UFOs or UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomenon)
The internet has given birth to countless conspiracy theories in regards to UFOs and so-called alien visitations. The lines have become very blurred indeed. There is a huge number of websites which do nothing for the UFO culture but flood it with nonsense. The amount of CGI clips on YouTube in overwhelming and has caused irreparable damage to the subject of UFOs

Is there a cover up?
I believe that someone somewhere knows something. It’s definitely not our world leaders, such information is way above the pay grade of David Cameron. Perhaps sat at the back of the House of Lords there’s a retired general, a relic left over from the cold war who has information which could prove there’s a cover up.

Life beyond Planet Earth
I have followed scientific developments all my adult life. When they announced that they had found the first planet outside our solar system back in 1992 it was huge. It was also the first step to educate the population that we are not the only planetary in existence.
Earlier this year NASA announced that there is liquid water on Mars. This is a huge step towards the possibility that life once flourished on the red planet.
It’s now a matter of time before more complex life is announced.
