Dhana Latchmi Mahesh (latchmigirl) | 55 comments It’s two part story, the second one is sort of an epilogue to the main story, a continuation to the next generation.
Can’t remember the main story much though it’s about a man and his girlfriend or Wife and their struggles. The lady stitches a beautiful embroidery of a house (their cottage i think) set in one of the 4 Seasons and it sort of symbolic. I think the female protagonist had red hair and very pretty (I could be wrong).

2nd part of the story is about a set of fraternal boy and girl twins who are related to the main female protagonist of the 1st story. This girl definitely has a red hair that is easily recognisable by anyone (described as orangey) but not beautiful as the main heroine (maybe this girl has a flat or button nose). The twins meet a boy on their journey who is kinda rude to the girl or something.
Then boy they meet and the red haired girl come upon a small old abandoned house or cottage and see a framed up embroidered image of a house set in another season from the first (the girl mentions that, she says she has either seen or own same art piece but it’s set in a different season).

The girl and boy hold hands starring at the embroidery work and she asks something and the boy replies that they too will own a house just like in the picture (that they are going to be together and start a family or something). The story ends there.

Anyone knows the book? I won't be surprised if its another Josephine Cox books (But i can't find the title). Please help.

Wow, great detail. I look forward to reading this book when it is solved!

How long ago did you read it? Was it a newly published book at that time?

Dhana Latchmi Mahesh (latchmigirl) | 55 comments I have a feeling its one of Josephine Cox and can't remember when its written, though it could be around mid 90s onward to early 2000s.

Dhana Latchmi, around what year did you read this book? A range of years is fine. This will help us narrow down the search.

What does "r/s" mean?

How old are the twins? Is this book for teens or older adults?

What's the genre or tone / mood?

It’s not teen fiction, more like family drama / historical fiction during 18th or 19th century England middle class, village / town setting.. no high nobles etc is involved, it’s simple story of village /town / working class folks. I read it many years ago in my early teens in late 90s.
