Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Good morning

Have to go to the library and print off reams of paper today. I hope their system is working.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12601 comments Morning all, sore jaw after yesterday's dental trip. Blue skies again.

That's quite scary Tim, I think you should pay a gardener in the future.

message 6903: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments morning. Didn't sleep so well last night, but the leg shows some more improvement. I'm down to my last two days of meds, and thinking about machining an appointment just in case I need a second course.

I've just had to order an expensive laptop so I can work from the sofa, since it'll be some time before I can spend all day at a desk. So yeah, cost. A gardener would've been cheaper!

Patti, good tip about the probiotics - I'll be sure to get some in.

Gonna try making some eggs for breakfast, possibly with some ba...

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Wish I could make you breaky, Tim. I've even got a couple of bananananananas. And streaky bacon.

Now I want some.

Doing a pork roast I got reduced to 2 quid for dinner, though. Better not do bacon for breakfast as well.

And yes, get more meds if it's not completely gone. You don't want to let the little buggers build up resistance.

Lovely sunshine today. Thank goodness as we've got a load of running round to do.
And more passport photos. Erg. Seems we need a bunch for our visas.

message 6905: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh, and you won't regret the laptop, Tim. You'll be able to work in the coffee shop or wherever after you're mended.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12601 comments Sorry you didn't sleep well Tim, am sure the laptop will be a goid investment. Think making an app us a good thing

message 6907: by Benjamin (new)

Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Morning everyone. Sunshine here as well, just in time for us all to swelter in the office.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments Good morning, still wearing my tin hat. My sister recommended grapefruit gin. My spellchecker just changed that to gun. Either way that made me laugh so it’s an improvement.
I second the probiotic advice, when they give you antibiotics in France the pharmacist always sells me ‘germs’. You can take them in increased quantities to stop the runs as well. My dog even had them last week.
Dentist later for me. Just a check up so fingers crossed that’s all he finds. ’

message 6909: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Morning, each. I hope there's continued improvement, Tim. Take things steady - but you've been there before.

Sunny. Got a loaf rising. Baking a coffee cake later for tomorrow's Cake Club.

David Hadley Morning.

At last I have some news to put on this thread.

Apparently, No.1 daughter got engaged yesterday.

message 6911: by Benjamin (new)

Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Congratulations to her, David!

message 6912: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Report on bacon and eggs: delish! :)

That counts as my first "proper meal" for almost a week!

message 6913: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Congratulations - both to David's lass and to Tim on his breakfast!

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Morning.... Eh, afternoon!

Congrats to David's daughter!

Glad you are feeling better, Tim. I would book an appointment now, you can always cancel it later when you are more sure that you don't need it.

message 6918: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Got all the running round done. My passport photos look like some off The Walking Dead.

Sushi for lunch!

That's so wonderful! Best wishes to all involved. Big step.

message 6920: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Got to go and pick it up, but the doc gave me another prescription over the phone.

message 6921: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments That's good. The chemists won't deliver?

message 6922: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Never heard of one that did. The wait was longer at the chemist than at the doctor's (but I took advantage of the time to get my hair cut!)

message 6923: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hmm. Even the chemists in Baku deliver. Back home, they'll send medicine by taxi. Also booze. :D

The pork roast is smelling so good! Making the kitchen a bit warm, mind.

Congrats to David's daughter and glad you are feeling better Tim.

GL is beating me senseless in wordfeud Patti

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh good. Tell her I said hi.

I love that game. So much I had to delete it. It was taking over my life.

I'm here. Just not feeling talkative at the moment.

Mine do, its a Lloyds. I can see it from the end of the street though, so seems cheeky. Glad they gave you another prescription though

message 6929: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments I can imagine them knocking on your door and asking you to confirm your address!

Going to try some fish tonight . . .

That would be funny - the staff at mine know my name, they just get my prescription, and my neighbours as we pick each others stuff up! Chemist is a lovely Spanish lady who has a good sense of humour!

I did however have an electrician knock on the door before, he remembered what street to come to but not the house number!

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Morning all ... bit of a busy day ahead. Just about to get my 20 mins writing in before 8.00 am.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12601 comments Morning all, woke up early with a headache. Overcast and cool. Don't think our receptionist is in today, so helping out

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Morning, each. Cake club this morning, flower arranging this aft. Catch you later!

message 6943: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Morning

Had a busy day yesterday. Stayed up until 1 sewing a dress for Kathleen that I need to finish by next Wednesday, I should manage, so long as it fits! Prior to that I was fighting with my machine because it wouldn't pick up the stitches on the swim fabric I was using.

Feeling very bleary eyed this morning.

Hello to Anita and big hugs to GL

I hope everyone else is doing well.

message 6944: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Morning. Double bacon & eggs for breakfast! :)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Mmmm.... bacon....

message 6946: by David (new)

David Hadley Morning

Thanks for the daughter congrats. They've been together something like 13 years so far, so they don't appear to be rushing.

I've just been to Lidl and bought a pair of running shoes and a toilet brush - these purchases are not related to each other.

message 6947: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I've been sorting clothes.

I wonder if I should have packed a travel iron.

message 6948: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Back from Cake Club - successful and friendly as usual - and hoping to get some writing in before flower arranging. Enjoying yourself is exhausting!

Don't be so sure, Paula Radcliffe might argue that they are related!
