Mary | 263 comments Pierre Grimbert has written a saga about the world of Ji. In french the total saga is called "Cycle de Ji". I haven't been able to find a english name, but in Dutch it is called "Ji-cyclus".

It has 3 subseries in it, the first:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/9666...

(I am not sure but it seems that the first subseries has two pages, one of the english version - the one above - and one of the french version: https://www.goodreads.com/series/4734....
There is also a different version called Le secret de Ji Integrale > https://www.goodreads.com/series/7768.... I don't know for sure how this fits in because my french is terrible but these books also seem to be listed on the french version of the first subseries.)

the second:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/5828...

the third:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/4734...

Hopefully anybody can make sense of what I am trying to say...and even better can combine it.

Thanks in advance.

Empress (the_empress) Deleted "The Secret of Ji" series page. Series should be in the books original language making Le Secret de Ji the original series page for this series.

It seems someone has deleted Le secret de Ji Integrale as I am unable to find it.

Authors often have separate series in the same universe so the three seires page are fine.

In addition we can create a Universe series called Ji Universe (In French) that follows the internal chronology of the three sub-series. If you are able to list all the books (from the three series) per internal time-line order or a find a source with that information (usually author page has it) I will create that series and thus combining all three sub-series.
Alternative series order to internal time-line is "author recommended reading order" (usually taken from author website/blog)

In the meantime I have left links to the other series pages in each of the three sub-series.

Mary | 263 comments This is the site from the author:
http://www.pierregrimbert.com/p/le-se...

and this is a dedicated page to the series:
http://www.secretdeji.com/

On the left side of the page you can see that the serie has 3 subseries:
1. http://www.secretdeji.com/p/le-secret...
2. http://www.secretdeji.com/p/les-enfan...
3. http://www.secretdeji.com/p/les-gardi...

The site has the option to translate it to any language you want, the original is french.

Hopefully this is enough information, otherwise I would like to hear it.

Empress (the_empress) This is what I am getting from the links: The Secret of Ji is a fantasy cycle in 4 volumes ........... I added a second cycle to the story, titled Children Ji ............. I still had things to say about this universe, ultimately. So I added a third cycle the first two, Ji Guards

This does not give me a timeline (apart of order of writing) and I still have no idea what would be the order of the books.

Mary | 263 comments Looking at the pages it says:
Le Secret de Ji est une saga de romans de fantasy, composée de 13 volumes regroupés en 3 saisons, par Pierre Grimbert.

Translated:
Secret Ji is a saga fantasy novels, composed of 13 volumes grouped into three seasons, by Pierre Grimbert.

First cycle according to the site:
Secret Ji
The Secret of Ji is a fantasy cycle in 4 volumes. This is the first novel I signed; one that is the origin of my "career" copyright, and all that happened in my life over the past twenty years, including the meeting with my wife. That is to say how much I am attached to these texts!
The cycle has seen many editions, in large format, in pocket, club edition, youth collection in full of a volume or two ... It is also translated (or is being translated) in German , English , Dutch and Czech .

Original title in french is Le Secret de Ji (confusing maybe because the whole world is called also Le Secret de Ji).

Second cycle according to the site:
Children Ji

The five volumes of the Children of Ji are the second cycle in this universe. They were published between 2004 and 2006, the publishing house that my wife and I founded: Publishing in October . They have also been translated into German under the title Die Krieger , and are being translated into Dutch .

The original title of Children of Ji is: Les Enfants de Ji

And the third cycle:
Ji Guards

The four volumes of Ji Guards are the third and final round in this universe, bringing to thirteen the number of novels devoted to different generations of Ji heirs.
These titles have also been translated into German under the title Die Götter .

Original title in french: les Gardiens de Ji

Is this making it any clearer?

Empress (the_empress) I have added the order of the "cycles" in the series pages description, but unless there is a different reading order than that in the sub-series, I'm not sure if a "universe series" should be created - it would be duplicative to the three series pages.

But I'll pass this now to someone else to deal with. Obviously as someone who is not familiar with the author's works I cannot jump to conclusions.
