You should combine it with the novel. If we have a logical merge target it's always best to use that.

I was checking out the various editions of Axiomatic, and came across this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/edit/1...
It's an issue of the magazine Urania, but the magazine contains the entire contents of the book, translated into Italian. (supporting evidence here: http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?3...)
It should go, right?

#670 - Pending
#671 - Done earlier when tidying other stuff from Uncanny :)

I've always been adding the award to the anthology, after I've done the combine, so I think they should be safe, but I'll double check the hugo/nebula/locus awards lists anyway! Thanks!

And thank you for this!

That is definitely not correct for series, unless it means the new work ends up in a series twice (which cannot be done).

Perhaps things have changed. Observation in the past only is that when the series is attached to an edition that gets combined with another work, that series gets lost.

This particular one does have a separate novella published, however this specific edition was noted as the "published in Asimov Magazine" so I separated/combined it. Please delete:

We've lost ALL the data off the Xuya series indicating which story is in which journal because the combine decided to take the blank instead of the one with the title in. It's an annoying glitch I've not noticed before, but I now see why some titles would occasionally get blanked out...
Oh well, at least the log is clearer now so it shows what they were attached to before in the log. I'll use that to recreate the details. On the weekend though not tonight!

But it has an ASIN?

Separating and fixing now!
ISFDB didn't know it ever being published separately, so I think that's why I combined it, missed the ASIN, but verified that it was at some point valid

Yes, this is the exact problem.

Also, I guess this can go here, it's chapter 1 of a book, published in the New Yorker. Should I combine it with the novel or should the whole thing be deleted?
