Clarkesworld & Lightspeed short story records
after 453 is gone through https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... needs to be combined with the same issue (fall 2011)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...published in several anthologies - I took one of these already in the series
not sure about this one https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... seems to be published from magazine but didn't find the issue - but maybe it's just too late or I'm overlooking it
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...belongs in this anthology - even the link went to the ebook version on the baen HP - no possibility to read it there.
(added the ebook then .. before I saw all the other editions)
torn away https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...(combined it with that and not the mentioned on HP original anthology as the record seemed to be for the fantasy magazine issue)
the short is in that anthology according to reviewers on Amazon https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... nothing found were it was separate (only other anthologies)

There was in 2013. Baen used to have a huge library of their books available as free individual ebooks. While they are no longer available, they should NOT be deleted from the Goodreads database. They did meet our criteria when they existed.
Edit: The cover, however, does not belong to it.

and after #448 is through https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... Atlantis waits for combine and merge in the same summer 2011 issue(as that has quite a lot ratings someone doublechecking would be fine as I'm wondering about the amount of ratings ... was never so high on other of the short stories...)
#442-444 QueuedRe #445 - It's OK to combine multiples and then list that they all need merging into the default or whatever. I don't mind and it's easier than waiting on one to go before doing the next combine and queue.
#447 Shedding Her Own Skin (Fantasy Magazine, November 2007. Reprinted in Love & Other Poisons, September 2014) - http://www.silviamoreno-garcia.com/bl...
Combined and merged into Love & Other Poisons as Fantasy Magazine doesn't have a Nov 2007 issue on Goodreads.
#453-455 Queued#456 - Combined with High Cotton: Selected Stories and queued for merge (evidence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Co...)
#457 - Baen edition ignored
#458-461 Queued
Running Shoes by Ken Liu - SQ Mag 16https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
(I hope I did it right this time)
These stories by Aimee Bender all need to be merge into the same collectionhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
I'm not sure if the SQ Mag is a valid entry at all for GR(ASIN or ISBN) so instead of creating a record (which may be deleted at any time if not a valid entry) a straight deletion of the story would've done it also...
#471 / 474 Not sure either but I prefer to merge into a Lit Mag at present and await the decision in the Policies discussion. Deletion is permanent, but holding fire means that if they are deemed OK then the reviews aren't lost...#472-473 Queued

SQ Mag have published end-of-year collections that have an ASIN that "Running Shoes" and other issues could be combined and merged with.
I was wondering what will happen to the "Nevertheless, She Persisted" titles released by Tor.com. None of these stories have an ASIN or ISBN, but someone has created a sort of group entry for the stories that they could possibly be merged with: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Surprised I didn't find this online separately ...The Four Million Lost on Dress Parade, to merge
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

As stories, Tor online fiction is (usually?) valid, because they're freely available to all, but their articles are not "books" per Goodreads.
#476 - if the story in question was in there, then that would be better - it is always best to go for a formally published work if possible (which includes those Lit Mags with ASIN/ISBN of course). Let me know when the combine is done and I'll set the merge in process.

The ebooks are also posted individually, not as part of a larger publication. (They are also often released as Kindle editions and via Smashwords, as well as on their site.)
The articles are not books, though.
Edit: The ones I looked at were ebooks, not articles. Did not have time to look at all of them, but in this case it looks like it may be the "group" that was not published by Goodreads standards, rather than the ebooks. Not clear if there was a downloadable group version of all of them together, or where that cover came from.

Rivka, my memory from reading them when they were released was that they were a themed grouping of works published on the website, but I'm unaware of them ever having been published as a group other than as they are currently on Tor.com. There were calls for there to be an ebook at the time, but nothing occurred - I guess there's a slim chance of something for 8 March 2018, but I currently doubt it... I don't think the "group" record is any more valid than some of the spurious series entries we get. I'd also presume that they'd be more a Listopia than a series since if they're ever released elsewhere they wouldn't necessarily be part of Tor's grouping here. Tor calls them a series (here) but I'm interpreting that as a limited publisher imprint.
I think this is my least favourite type of merge/delete as something is going to get lost for someone if they've grouped all their reviewing together.
I agree, but I think it needs merging. Into the first of the stories, I guess, unless something better can be thought of?
"SQ Mag 16" to be merged with "Star Quake 3: SQ Mag's Best of 201". (All reviews/ratings were originally of Ken Liu's "Running Shoes" which is part of the collection)https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
rivka wrote: "I agree, but I think it needs merging. Into the first of the stories, I guess, unless something better can be thought of?"I can't think of anything better. I'm going offline for a few hours, so if no one has come up with a better idea by this evening when I'm back on, I'll merge into the first story.
Nevertheless She Persisted queued into first story. Also caught a few Patreons that are being released in July in a valid format so merging those now...Listopia series created: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
just in case you wanna put that into the link list Emy -here's another list of CW short stories I came across while merging an already known one https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
#488 Was just about to say "Oh no worries about that one they're all legit, then noticed this one: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio... Going to need to extract the three English editions, combine and merge with CW, and add notes to the Non-English editions... Hey ho!
#489 yeah are now looking legit - I removed 4 CW issues which were short before I assume (I know for sure of one because I merged the short and as that short was recently added I thought it might be worth to note the list somewhere)oh "The Things" look like ... fun... :)
ARGH, the Russian edition isn't legit either. Found the anthology in translation, so now got to find that! *mutters*EDIT:
Elizabeth, the short has an award attached, but is now attached to the Italian translation. Should it be moved to the CW issue (#40)?

I apologize. I haven't been following. Are you saying there is not a valid separate edition? If so yes, it should go to the Clarke's World edition. Can you post a link for me? I'll take care of it.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8...https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Looking at it, it looks like it's just on twice. I'll leave it to you to decide which should have it (Italian single or English anthological compilation).

The new policy that clarifies how we're to handle awards for short stories says it should be on the single story when possible. I'll delete from the Clarkesworld, but add it to the description.
Edit: and done!
CW 104 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...(is that "A" a real name? or just a initial and needs a period?)
CW 119 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...und https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
and https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Lightspeed magazine june 2015 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...there are two awards added to the story, which is why I didn't combine yet

The Pushcart Prize is listed among the awards on GR, but I can't actually find any list of winners anywhere. I can't find announcements, etc. even at their website: http://www.pushcartprize.com/pushcart...
I have chosen not to delete the award, but I'm uncomfortable adding to it.
