Deb (debsd) | 38 comments I'm new to GR Librarian status, so apologise if this is covered elsewhere (I read through the manual and did a search on discussions but found conflicting responses).

There are a number of "books" in the database which consist of a single pattern (i.e. not a book of patterns or techniques) for knitting, cross-stitch, etc. Examples:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Some of these appear to be from collections of "books" which are attributed to the person who created the pattern - e.g.
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Others appear to be collections of patterns from various sources, but with the author shown on GR as the person who collected them:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

And this one appears to be a large collection (nearly 3000 items) of patterns which are attributed to an author (not the original creator) who is an Amazon/B&N seller (selling Kindle versions of patterns - I'm not convinced these are legit wrt copyright rules either):
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Should any of these be edited to "not a book"? Should some/any of them be listed as books on GR at all?

So probably no way to "not a book" (NAB) them...

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Those are definitely valid books for Goodreads purposes. Think of them as similar to short stories that are published on Kindle as separate books.

HOWEVER, if you ever are concerned about legal issues regarding any works, do contact support directly (either using the Contact form from the About Us link below, or directly emailed to support @ goodreads.com).
