Question about book duplicates

Danielle, it would be much easier for us to see what happened if you linked to the book in question. If the book was merged correctly, you wouldn't have lost the review as merging shifts everything to another edition.

I am not a librarian, but is that possible? For me to do I mean?
One was
another was
that's all I can remember at the moment, I had 7.
Nope only a librarian can combine or merge. Members can basically only create new editions.OK I'll go check and see if I can figure it out.

Thanks, any idea why this happens even if you only add it once. I use the iPad mobile app and then I checked duplicates via the website and it showed one I had literally just added and I couldn't understand why. Thanks, sorry to bother you with it.
None of those books are showing as duplicates at the moment. Have you already removed the dups? As to why it does it, I have no clue. I certainly don't check for dups more than once every 6 months or so.

I did from my shelf I did.
I don't recall the last time I did it, but I had 7 this time around.
If you've already removed them I can't check to see what's happened.Perhaps don't use the mobile app to check for dups, just use the full site. If it happens again don't remove the books but post straight away so we can figure it out.

The mobile app doesn't tell me about dups, but I had added the book to my tbrs via the mobile app. And I'll do that next time, I'm sure I'll come across some more. Thanks for your help.

So my questions to be clear are how/why does this happen? Did I do this or did GRs do this? Is there a way to prevent it in the future?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me.
