Hope you had a nice 4th!
Thanks!

I prefer the amazon gift so I can read it on all my devices and have my place synchronized.

Renee, the story is set in the fictional Summer Cove, but think Cade's Cove, which is near Sevierville.
Where in East Tennessee?

Thanks again for choosing my story for this month's BOTM!

I'm imagining the area as I read!

Thanks :)

Hi Len,
This conversation is for the book of the month which is 'Finding my Escape' by Fran Veal. There are other places where you can promote your book within the group but it's not appropriate to promote it here. Being respectful of each other is what makes this group such a friendly place for authors and readers to hang out. Please bear this in mind when plugging your book within the group.
Just to be clear I was commenting on the book of the month, 'Finding my Escape', when I said I would be happy to read and review.
Thanks

Case in point: I asked what a person could do to market a book with a budget of $20,000. I got one response: a question mark.

I would love to read this book. I could use the Kindle version.

I'd already used the third person POV for the killer in the first book, so I extended it a little for the second book to fill in some gaps and "show" rather than "tell" what was going on.
Thanks for getting the sequel!

I can't say your shift detracts in any way from the narrative, but it is an odd shift in tone for me. By the way, I liked the ending. It was one of the possible scenarios I'd anticipated, but not exactly what I expected. However, the shift in scope in the second book was totally unexpected! Did you have that background story in mind when you started writing the first one?

I love plot twists, and I really love throwing people off after they think they have everything figured out. As long as I can keep the characters honest, I'll twist the heck out of a story and throw as many turns in as I can without making the reader dizzy. You should see how book 3 starts out!

John, I'm so thrilled you are hooked on book 2. PM me if you want to talk about it.

I understand. Will do.

I hope you liked FINDING MY WAY BACK.
Fran

Thank you so much for the review! I'm working on book 3 at the moment, and I'm setting a release date of October 21.
