ABANDONED. I read an english translation of a russian book about cryogenics and virtual reality about 2-3 years ago. Spoiler ahead.

I don't remember exactly what happened but the plot went something like this: The main character got diagnosed with cancer or something and was then put in some sort of cryogenic sleep where his consciousness or something was uploaded into a virtual reality game of some sort. Not sure how accurate the parts before were as my memory was very hazy. Next I remember is that at the end the main character got trapped in some sort of dungeon by an enemy faction. That was the end of book one. I don't know how many books there were. The cover was blue with a girl in some sort of cryogenic container of some sort.
