All I remember for sure about this book was that there was a battle and the prophecy was that a banner or sign would end the war and a girl rode through on a horse with her hair streaming and a banner made of her new dress which stopped it. It was YA fantasy pls help!!!

Could it be Bella at Midnight by Diane Stanley? There is a scene where she disguises herself as the Worthy Knight, a legendary figure who will end the war. She has a white gown and rides into battle using it as a white banner of peace and saves the day.
