Finished yesterday Eureka Street; niteresting, even if a bit ... too fragmented.

Saturday I've finished Kingdom of the Blind. Loved as all Penny's novels.

PattyMacDotComma Catch Cat: Discover the world in this search and find adventure is an around-the-world game by Andy Council. He has drawn the continents with tiny cartoon details, amongst which is a cat. The hunt is on!

PattyMacDotComma Just read Aussie author Annie Seaton's latest novel, Undara which is a real place in Far North Queensland - a great setting for an outback family drama. These lava tubes are mysterious caverns, and I included a few pictures.

Dale, I swear that cover has been used for another novel but I can't think which one at the moment.

b The Fall

I just finished another Camus book, and I'm again impressed with how Camus uses simple, and subtle language to tell a deep story about human beings and how they act and think

PattyMacDotComma I just read Aboriginal author Tara June Winch’s new book The Yield. No wonder she’s won awards - story, characters, history, family - it’s all there. I also added links to other info for any enthusiastic readers. :)

Kathleen | 401 comments I've recently finished two books of the highest quality.

Here's a short story deserving of being called classic: James Joyce's The Dead.
My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

And a collection of essays that is also dark, but darkly funny, Calypso by a favorite author of mine, David Sedaris.

Tamara Agha-Jaffar | 1413 comments Finished The Greenhouse by Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir.
It was quite good but a little disappointing because it wasn't nearly as good as her novel, Hotel Silence.
