PattyMacDotComma For a complete change of pace, I read Mahatma Gandhi by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara and Albert Arrayás, which is an attractive introduction to the non-violent protester for justice. It's for the very young, but it will help their teachers and parents learn about him, too.
Mahatma Gandhi (Little People, BIG DREAMS) by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara 4★ My review with several pictures

Pam Baddeley | 1529 comments Read a couple of biographies. Loved the first, not so much the second:

Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2923787278
and
A Life In Secrets: The Story Of Vera Atkins And The Lost Agents Of Soe by Sarah Helm - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2934217362.

Petra | 3324 comments It's been ages since I've posted a review here. Sorry for the long post and the long delay in posting these.

Monkey Beach (3 strong stars) - [https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

[book:Bookclub Social: A Reader's Guide to Online Book Clubs|47130227] (3 star) - an interesting look at on-line bookclubs.
My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Lady Helena Investigates (4 star) - a good start to a new series that I hope the author continues with. The mystery is barely there, though. This is a character and family study set in changing times.
My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Children of Nazis: The Sons and Daughters of Himmler, Göring, Höss, Mengele, and Others— Living with a Father's Monstrous Legacy (2 star) - the author only interviewed one of these people. Most of the information is taken from previous written sources. Choppy writing, at best.

Tamara Agha-Jaffar | 1413 comments I finished Chaucer's People: Everyday Lives in Medieval England by Liza Picard. It was a wonderful romp through the life and times of medieval England.

I'm not sure but I think someone in this group recommended it. Sorry, but I can't remember who it was. If you're out there, thank you very much for recommending it :)
