LOL!!!
LOL!!!
I'm in between far too many books: The Brothers Karamazov in a Grou Read, The Dark Half on Audible, Le vie dell'Eden by Eshkol Nevo and The Day of the Scorpion.
Will I survive?

Good to know!!!
Good to know!!!
At the moment I'm listening to The Dark Half by Stephen King and reading both Beyond This Place by A.J. Cronin and La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman. All three really good books

I so agree with that!!!

At the moment I'm reading The Long, Long Afternoon and finding it excellent: a deep analysis of the States before the 60s: racism, feminism, female issues...
Started yesterday Rock Wagram by William Saroyan.
I had loved his The Human Comedy; this one is, at the moment, a bit...confused!

As usual with Summer, I'm in a "mystery mood", but this year from all over the world: I'm reading Literary Murder from Israel, The Lavender Ladies Detective Agency: Death in Sunset Grove from Finland, and I've just finished The Windsor Knot set in Windsor Castle, with HM looking into matters with her own hands!!!!

Been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately, although I also have a few physical books lined up, only two of which, alas, are fiction. For a Read My Age Challenge in another group (born in 1963, I want to read at least one book, in any genre, that was published in every year that I have been alive, including the year of my birth and 2022), I am listening to an unabridged audiobook of To Your Scattered Bodies Go (1971) by Philip José Farmer (1918-2009).

I loved the TV series but never got round to reading the books.

Hard books; very difficoult in style: long long sentences, not usual in the English language; it gets to the same happenings from different points of view, but it repeats a lot.
Still really interesting

If I remember I read the first book but was put off because I found his writing style heavy going.
